Lykra nodded, pleased at their new member and the fact that her Alpha was happy. She slowly stood, shaking her fur before bounding behind Alynn, quickly glancing to see if everyone was up.
Auric snorted, grinning at Alynn before swallowing a final piece of meat. As he padded to the rest of the pack, he licked his muzzle clean, humming softly with joy at having a full stomach. He noticed Alynn speaking to another wolf, and tilted his head to the side softly with curiosity at who the other older male was.

Alynn gave off a gentle laugh as she watched Auric in all his joy. And just as she had predicted, two or three crows quickly dived down from the skies and began feasting upon their leftovers while others circled over-head. The femme always thought about how it was so silly the way those black birds always did that. All the time, they would soar down and begin easting just as the wolves had been doing when the kill was young. She didn’t know how they could stand the putrid half-eaten meat and still walk off happily. Alynn would much rather hunt something new and eat it while it was still fresh instead of scavenging over someone else’s carcass. It just didn’t seem right. However, as a pup when her father was leader she always imagined the crows calling back as the wolves left: ”Thank you, kind wolves. Thank you for the plentiful meal.” And Alynn would always bow her head respectfully and welcome them for their praise. And the young female still did that today, yet mentally and no longer physically. You’re very welcome. Thank you for being so considerate.
Thus, Alynn cast a glance back at Auric wondering where and what to start upon first. Yet, the male’s attention seemed to be off elsewhere toward the shaggy wolf she had been consulting a few moments ago. ”Don’t bother that old wolf over there.” She acknowledged, flicking her tail toward her father. ”That’s Degno, the former leader and my father.” She nodded, wagging her tail softly. ”He’s a little on the cranky side today but trust me. He is wise and strong- one of the best leaders of the pack too! But now his leader position is in my paws and my paws only.” Alynn looked forward with a grunt. It was true; she was the sole leader of the pack. There was no other leader besides her, thus there was no alpha male. Truly there originally was a young alpha male but that mate had been gone a long time ago and Alynn dearly regrets the loss. Yet she holds her position up strong without complaint for it served her more than in the categories of joy.

Auric thoughtfully watched the crows circle the sky, remembering how only a few days ago, he had used the black birds to find his meals. Fresh food was almost impossible to find for a lone wolf, and Auric had followed the crows to eat scraps from other creatures when he had been running. Running from his home. His eyes clouded for a moment before turning his gaze to Alynn as she spoke.
"Your dad, eh?" Auric cast a golden gaze back to the wolf, Degno. He then turned back to Alynn,"Where's your mother?"
(( Still kinda short, but I'm gaining muse. XD ))

Alynn narrowed her eyes slightly, turning her gaze away from the brute. For a moment she walked silently, her tail falling to a complete stop to only dangle back and forth by her gentle walking movement, but after a bit she took a deep breath and gave her answer. ”She’s…She’s gone…” The female murmured. She didn’t often talk about her mother. Neither did her father. Yet it was so long ago and the story was hard to say and complicated, yet as she looked back at Auric’s curious gaze she knew she would have to tell the male sooner or later.
”M-My mother was taken away from me as a pup…and as taken away from me I mean, died…” Alynn closed her eyes and gave a gruff sigh as she continued on. She tried to remember it all, yet she was just so young… her memory was getting blurrier, yet she refused to let go of the dark memory. ”The Hard Rock Pack had charged into our dens. My father had been in power at the time and he fought hard trying to fend them away. My mother was still in the nursery den feeding my other siblings and I, however, a few brutes from that stupid pack rushed in…” She paused once more feeling a slowly tear forming at the corner of her eyes, but she pushed the feminine urge to cry away from her as she continued on with her story. ”They were ruthless and they were savages… My mother fought as much as she could just to defend us but it was too much. Two against one was just too bad of an odd. So I laid helplessly at the back of the den. By the time my father got into the den to finally send off those terrible invaders, my mother was gone along with the rest of my brothers and sisters. I had been lucky enough to survive but I felt so helpless… just…. So helpless…” Alynn winced again and she gave in. The tear slid down her cheek with that reminder of that terrible day. She shook her head and lowered her head- showing a clear stance that held no leadership qualities within it- only that shaky look of a helpless pup. ”I couldn’t help her…”
The female gave out an aspirated sigh then shook her head. Her slightly reddened eyes looked back up at the male and she suddenly realized how she looked. I can’t let him see me like this! She took a deep breath and lifted her head, shaking the sad emotion out of her system, turning her head away from him. ”But….That’s all over now.” She growled, trying to hide her shaky and broken up voice. ”I lead my pack now and that Rock Pack will pay… dearly…”
Degno stepped forward with a narrowed gaze. He had stopped something going on and with that, Alynn looked up at him with that pitiful look. He gave her a growl and her expression quickly changed as she barked out another loud command striding forward before Auric could say a thing. ”Ok everyone! Get into your dens and have yourself a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow’s a new day.” She looked back at everyone for one more moment before padding into her own special den in the middle of the many rows of caves surrounding the area, leaving Degno and Auric alone to themselves.
”Hmph.” Was all the old male wolf said as he walked slowly beside the much younger wolf. He didn’t know what else to say. Yet he knew that this little wolf would pay for making his daughter cry those tears that have been suppressed for weeks on end.

Auric was silent as he listened to Alynn tell her tale, keeping his golden eyes locked to the ground. He slowly lifted his head and looked at her when he heard her voice change from a tone of authority to one of helplessness, and was shocked to find a tear rolling down her cheek. As he continued to listen, he heard her struggle to change her voice back, and as she swore revenge against his pack, Auric felt waves of guilt and shame wash over himself. He struggled to contain these emotions as he watched the Alpha bark orders and move away, leaving Auric with the old wolf.
The golden wolf studied Aynn's father out of the corner of his eyes, frowning faintly. He could tell that this wolf, Degno, didn't like him. But why? After studying Degno for a few moments he quickly grinned,"Hey there, old wolf." he greeted, eyes glowing with amusement as he watched the other wolf.
(( Gah. Sorry for taking so long, Angel. XP ))

”Hey there, old wolf.”
Degno’s eyes suddenly widened and he gave a low growl. The expression wasn’t something he wanted to hear. He definitely didn’t want to hear it, yet the little brute continued on with his play. His eyes narrowed and slowly but surely, he turned to face the younger male. ”What….did you just call me?!?!?!” He bared his teeth, pearly white and clean, however within the little spaces you could see the blood he had gathered over the years in alpha position. He gave another angry snarl before striding forward into Auric’s way and faced him directly. ”If you know what’s best for you, don’t bug me or my daughter…Got it?” He whispered, baring his teeth once again.

Auric blinked in surprise but then gave a huge grin. He pranced backward a few steps to keep a safe distance from the enraged wolf before replying,"I'll be more then happy to avoid you, my friend..." The golden wolf's eyes flickered across Degno and Auric took a few more steps backward,"But why your daughter? What possible danger am I to her?" His tail softly twitched with light fear...he knew he was stepping into a conversation with a wolf that could be dangerous.
(( WHOO it took me forever to reply! Sorry 'bout that. XDD ))

The old wolf suddenly stopped in his tracks, his paws holding firm as he thought of what to do. Yet this male was getting on his very last nerves. Better put this pup in his place… Another low growl rumbled through Degno’s throat as he spoke. Puffs of hot air created clouds around his muzzle, his teeth glistening like the night’s stars. ”Don’t you have any manners, Pup?” In a swift movement he turned around, tackling the other male into the ground, quickly giving his neck a quick, sharp nip before laying his paw firmly upon his throat. ”Learn your place or else…” Degno whispered in a sinister tone before he opened his jaws and lunged forward.
”FATHER STOP!” Came the voice of the current alpha. And in a rush of beating paws, Alynn returned, tackling her father to the side. ”Don’t hurt him!” She shook her head before turning back toward Auric. ”I’m sorry about that.” She murmured lashing her tail from side to side as she took a few steps toward him. ”My father’s just a bit cranky today.” However, that statement was wrong. The old tom wasn’t cranky. He was his usual self, hard-headed and defensive of his only daughter, yet Alynn wasn’t going to let him harm their guest. ”Come on. Lets get back to the dens.” The female brushed his side and lead him forward.
Dengo’s eyes widened to find his very own daughter, tackling him down for a simple discipline move toward a guest in these parts. A wave of emotions quickly traveled through him. He was somewhat proud of her seeing that she was finally asserting great signs of a leader and showing that she could take charge, yet at the same time he was angry. He was just trying to protect her from a male who could easily break her fragile heart. Either way, he had to show submission. He shook his mighty head then clambered onto his paws, tucking his tail between his legs and following the two a few feet behind them. Watch it, Pup. One more against my daughter and you’re dead…
Ooc.// Its ok xP
