Ooc.// Ok. That makes it much easier. ^^ xP And tis kay. Me understand completely. =D Oh and me ish gonna add a small twist... >D
Ic.// Allie smiled in delight, nodding as he approved of the music pieces she had given to him. They really were pretty special. Yet she had guessed on his musical level. She wasn't quite sure of where he was in his playing yet by his display earlier with the bass, she knew he could take on the difficulty of the pieces she had given him. She herself, had a bit of trouble playing them herself- yet that was mostly due to her inexperience with the Double Bass and her lack of practice with that certain instrument. However she found the melodies quite pleasing and delightful to hear.
Glancing only for a second, Allie found that the world was beginning to darken and once again, Las Vegas began to turn on those world famous lights that you could easily see from space. Each and every casino and store had bright neon lights, toppling over their rooftops. True, Allie had a sign for The Musical Note. It was a bright black and white lighting that was quite plain compared to the other casinos and even McDonalds with its blinding yellow and red lights that flash to catch anyones attention. However, Allie had little money to make her lights flash or have a bit of color, yet did she need it? No. The musical note sign was beautiful in its own way. It starts off with a few musical notes and then the name in a beautiful italic font. Thus making it look a bit like music on a piece of paper. It catches a bit of attention and Allie is quite content with that.
Allie couldn't help but blush a bit as his fingers brushed hers once he had grabbed the receipt/contract. It wasn't much but she couldn't help herself. She was ecstatic of his buy and his company yet as she looked down at his fingers once again, she found them in bandages- of which she hadn't really noticed until now. And by her own experience, she knew what had probably caused them- his instrument of course. If a musician plays and practices at long spans of times, then truly they would be injured in some way. Even herself, as a trumpet player, Allie's wrist gets achy and her fingers begin to tire. At the same time, her lips slowly begin to feel numb and those are the clear effects from playing way too long. Yet, it was good practice and Allie often admired people who could do so without complaining.
As he handed back the contract, she gave off a faint giggle at his signature. It was hard to read yet she was easily amused by the professional look to it. Tucking it away, she handed him the final receipt nodding as she grazed her fingers upon the smooth wood for the last time before leaning the instrument toward Charlie, letting him take it. She looked back up at him as he mentioned where they will meet and where they would go. "A nice walk seems nice." Allie nodded in agreement before brushing her bangs back once again. "Looking forward to it, Charlie. I guess I'll see you later." She was quite glad that he had insisted on giving her enough time to get ready yet a short enough amount of time that she wouldn't miss his presence. It was perfect. Completely perfect!... except for the shrouded eyes of a mysterious figure off in the shadows of Vegas...

Charlie took the music from her, his beaming smile serving as a reply. It still seemed so ridiculous, yet so wonderful, that she was as willing to meet again as he was... he couldn't wait to see her again. He put the music in his small, pale leather backpack, and extracted from it a cloth case designed for a Double Bass, which he'd somehow managed to fold small enough to cram it into the bag. He unfolded the dark canvas case, unzipped it, and, with reverent and careful hands, slid the enourmous bass gently into it. Then he hoisted it onto his back like an oversized bookbag, and took his smaller bag in one arm. All this, he did with an embarrassed smile, because it was a difficult thing to do gracefully and he got the impression he was ruining any chance he might have had for a dashing and stylish exit. Then again, dashing and stylish had never been his forte.
When at last the Bass was on his back, incredibly cumbersome but not so heavy that he couldn't walk, he gave her a small goodbye wave. Then, bent under an instrument almost twice his size, he hobbled out. Fortunately it wasn't far to his apartment.
It took him longer than normal, understandably, to get home, and he got a few distinctly odd looks. But at last he arrived to his dorm room, tiny but impeccably neat, and quickly made room for the new arrival. Consciously hurrying, so as to be as early as possible, he picked out a new, nicer shirt, and brushed his hair and teeth. Before leaving, he stopped to check himself over in the mirror. It was the same face as always looking back at him, tired, bug-eyed, thin and a bit pokey, and he frowned, wondering what had changed.
Then he smiled, thinking of her, and grabbed his keys. From his apartment, he could make it in a two-minute run if he was quick, and today he had better reason to be quick than any other. Even so, he found himself running faster as he passed through the alleyway shortcut to her shop- something felt wrong, here, and he wanted to be away from it as quickly as possible.
((OOC- Sorry, I wasn't sure entirely what you wanted to do with the shadowy figure. I can add or edit if it will fit your idea better.))

Allie smiled as she watched Charlie pack up the brand new instrument and move it out without much trouble. It really did take a real man to move a huge instrument like that one and Allie definately agreed. It took herself a great amount of difficulty to move all the heavy instruments like that bass, tubas, amps and such. And it didn't help that there was no man around the shop. More than once had she concidered finally hiering someone just to move things around for her, even though there wasn't much to move. Allie was just grateful that all the moving had already been done when she had first opened up her music shop and that was sure a pain- with the lazy truck drivers and such. Never again did she hope that she would have to go through that again.
Waving back at him, Allie watched him leave giving him one last cute little smile- greatly looking forward to his return. Hopefully it wouldn't be long. Quickly whiping the counter with a damp cloth, she padded into the back room, heading into another secret room. Basically, it was her own room that she lived in most of the time. It wasn't much but it was much cheaper than renting out a Vegas apartment, so she took the opportunity and made the extra room she had purchased for the shop into her bedroom. It was pretty small- much smaller than the shop and much smaller than the backroom. The walls were a soft buttery yellow- her utmost favorite color- while the carpet was a light tan color. Strange colors eh? Anyways, to the very right when you first enter, there is a large brown drawr with all her clothes sealed inside tight. Upon the top of it is a large mirror that she often uses- thus has kept it shiny and clean. To the left is a small bed made for only one and a small table that held an alarm clock atop of it. To the right of that table was her trumpet case and a few more cases filled with instruments she either played or was trying to learn to play. A stand of course was included. Yep. And that was it. The room was quite simple yet she loved it in anyway possible. It was a great place for her to clear her mind after arguing with a customer and it was a wonderful place to practice- if she wasn't already practicing outside the shop.
Allie quickly rushed over to the drawer and pulled out a pair of her favorite sexy jeanes and a nicely fitting shirt. It was her favorite combination of clothing and a very good choice when going out to Vegas. Stripping off her old tattered clothing she had been wearing, she swiftly pulled the new clothes over her body, smiling as they still fit her quite nicely. Immediately after, she grabbed a brush and began combing down her hair. Grunting in slight dissapointment, Allie had a bit of difficulty getting her hair the way she wanted it, nice and straight. However, after a while, she finally got it, just in time to hear the bell to the door ring to the arrival of Charlie.
Allie quickly put on a but of lipgloss, grabbing her favorite jacket and putting it on as she rushed out into the shop area. She smiled as she saw that Charlie had changed as well and he looked rather handsom to her eyes. "Hey Charlie!" She nodded to acknowlage his presance. "You ready?" She asked in a curious tone. Of course, that would be his question yet she couldn't help it. She was excited to spend more time with him and any time here in the shop was just wasting the time they had.
Flipping a small switch at the back wall of the shop, Allie watched as the lights of the front sign suddenly shut down. Just as well, the lights in the shop shut down at her command until only the streetlights of Vegas lit their faces- which didn't pose much a problem. The lights were bright enough to make the place seem like morning. Allie pulled out some keys that were attached to her jeans from a hook and got ready to leave. She didn't carry a purse for there really wasn't any need. Allie was not big in make-up and she hated carrying those cumbersome bags that often weighed her down and ruined her fun. Thus, she was ready in seconds, looking up Charlie with that same little, familiar smile.
Ooc.// Its ok. xD The shadow is just a little foreshadowing at what's going to happen after Charlie and Allie's little date. xD So yeah... No need to worry about it. And yucky post. >< Ill make the next one better. ><

As he entered the music shop, looking better-groomed than he had earlier that day, Allie approached him with a warm greeting, and he stopped dead, temporarily speechless, at the sight of her. She had looked quite nice earlier, in casual clothes of the kind that an ordinary person would wear when they weren't doing anything special. Now she looked completely stunning. He wasn't the sort of guy who was inclined to staring at girls' bodies, having both too much manners and too acute a sense of embarrassment, but he had to tell himself to look at her face.
Once he actually was looking at her face, it was easier, because her face was quite a thing of beauty too. It was one of those faces that didn't need make-up, the kind that was beautiful in simple reality and not special effects. She was smiling that cute little dimply smile, and her hands were moving in that fluttery graceful way that he had noticed as she hit the lights to the shop. "Ready," confirmed Charlie, wondering how he was supposed to measure up to this lovely creature beside him.
They stepped out into the warm Vegas twilight, and fleurescent lights glimmered around them for miles, glittering like multicoloured stars on the horizon. Charlie smiled his crooked smile, thinking of high school science where he and Noah had gotten top marks every year and loved every second of it. Fleurescent lioghting, invented by Nicola Tesla, massively more energy-efficiant than standard T. Alva Edison (who had been Tesla's bitter rival) incandescant bulbs, operating by charging particles of noble gas with electricity, but potentially toxic due to the mercury they contained... He mentally slapped himself, focusing on where they had to go, but he needn't have. Directions came second nature to him. Even so, this was no time to think about science, even though science was comfortingly normal next to this wonderful and crazy happening of actually going on a date...
He smiled at her, glad that it had only been a moment's lapse into thinking like a Romero Twin. Obsessed with science, they both had been, and it had sort of taken over any chance of having a social life. He knew it wasn't heathly to live that way, and he'd been trying to rid himself of the fixation. "Won't take long," he said, "I hope you like this place. Do you play cards often?" Sometimes, the really good players could spot a card-counter when they saw one play. It wasn't a common ability, but a knack, which a small handfull seemed to naturally posess, and Charlie vaguely hoped she didn't. Card-counting wasn't cheating, per se, but he doubted she'd be impressed by it. He didn't plan to card-count tonight, just to be safe, but he sometimes found himself doing it a bit without realizing. No, he'd just play honestly and think tactically and give his best poker face. Despite the higher risk of losing money, he always felt more at ease playing a completely honest game. He knew lots of people played dishonestly, not just at cards but at life in general, but the idea of being one of them didn't please him.

Allie smiled as she pulled a shiny brass-looking key from her pocket and locked up the shop for the night like she always would do however she would usually be inside the store when she did so. It felt a bit strange closing the shop while the night was still so young, yet she was growing used to it ever since fewer musicians came to visit Vegas. This was due to something new she had just heard about. In the beginning Allie thought it was all just a rumor but it seemed true… Everyday her profits were sinking and her business has been getting slower and she was definitely grateful toward Charlie for his buy. It would be enough to bring her some new instruments, music and stuff to just keep her surviving for about a month or two if she played her cards right- something that she would test soon enough.
Her eyes quickly darted back to Charlie as they left the music shop side by side. He truly did look different under the more flashy fluorescent lights compared to the faint glow given off from the cheap light bulbs in her music store with that sweet smile upon his clean-cut face and this, she couldn’t help but wonder what he was thinking. Allie herself was thinking about how the day would play out- once she had peeled her attention away from the handsome man beside her. This was something that Allie often did- being the complete neat-freak-perfectionist-self. It helped her get things done and made sure she didn’t get carried away on one thing- another trait that became Allie’s weakness. For example, she would always concentrate so hard on practicing her trumpet music, she would get carried away and practice all day long until she noticed that her lips were beginning to bleed and were going numb. So, she kept her schedule in her head that constantly reminded her with the help of her persistent conscience. However, she told herself to be calm. This date was suppose to be a nice leisurely walk through Vegas and some fun gambling- no place for anything too serious. Thus, she loosened up, letting her gaze travel around, scanning the lights of Las Vegas once again.
"I hope you like this place. Do you play cards often?" Came Charlie’s question. However, Allie had been so caught up with the beautiful, ever-changing sights of Vegas that she almost hadn’t noticed, yet his calm voice snapped her back to reality, of which she quickly grabbed hold of. ”Oh! I bet it’ll be great. But… I don’t play that often...” She said with a disappointed shake of her head. ”It depends on if I have enough money left over from the day and that is kinda rare.” She shrugged, looking back at him with sorry eyes. Hopefully he wouldn’t be too disappointed that she wasn’t all that good. She was ok at gambling, yes. However, she wasn’t all that and rare ever did she get more money than she had started with. Allie lowered her head slightly. ”But, I’m ok. Just a little inexperienced.” She gave a soft giggle, looking up as she spotted the casino that served as their destination. It definitely looked fancy upon the outside like every other casino along The Las Vegas Strip- something that she expected. Hopefully, the inside would be just as good as the outside.
