Do you hear that? The silent call of brothers and sisters gathering upon a simple camp in the middle of a dense forest. But these... no... these were not humans. They were close. Almost close but one thing made them unique from those fur-less creatures. It was they ability to change into a wolf! Yes. A wolf. Fur, teeth, claw and all. Now do you hear them? The wolven people are calling. They live in a sort of tribe with Alphas, Betas and the members. They live in straw huts that were easy to move yet permanent enough to house dozens of people for many centuries until having to be restored. Yes. These people lived like the wolves- changing when they want, where they want. They hunt, they run and they follow the usual wolf society rules- Alpha eats first, Betas second and then the rest. Yep!!
~*____*~
But something's wrong... These people are quite violent. They attack any wondering human who comes into their territory. This caused the people to be angered and thus, the war began! Wolf against Man- Well, Wolven-people. The tension builds and more lives are lost. What will these people do?
_______________________________________________ Just come in with a paragraph. You know the rules and such. Follow them. Learn them.
_______________________________________________ Dark black eyes glimmered brightly as the sun shone down upon a beautiful young wolf. Her figure lean nonetheless, yet upon her shoulders came a muscular type of built that came rare in a femme. Yet this did not affect her overall appearance. She was pretty yet not exactly beautiful- as most say, yet her mother continued to compliment her on her beauty, despite a bad hair day or anything like that.
Yet something was different about this wolf. Something strange for sure. Jaylee lifted her muzzle, taking a deep breath of the fresh air, yet as she turned her head alarm prickled her fur. It was the smell of smoke that lifted the bright red flag in her head. Oh no... Quick and swift-footed, Jaylee leaped into a wide area, hidden by trees and cluttered by tall huts. The wolf closed her eyes and with a struggling grunt, she began her change. Fur was immediately replaced by light tan skin, four legs in exchange for two and a muzzle change into a human face.
Soon a young woman stood in the animal's place- around the age of 17-18 years. At once, she gave an alarmed sort of bird call that echoed through camp. As quick as the signal was sent, the signal was heard. People began padding out of the small huts, eyes wide for the signal that Jaylee had announced was the signal for war...

His blue hair was blowing in the wind. His blue eyes were tainted with rage. His body was perched on a thick tree branch in the deep forest. His ears had taken in the signal of war. His hands were in the form of fists. His mind had had enough.
Chance dropped down from the tree, trying to calm his rage. War. That’s all that ever happened these days. Ever since the wolf people started attacking the humans, Chance had always thought about running away to the human side. He didn’t like fighting against the weak. Though he always ran away for a few days, getting human clothes and other strange human technology, he never actually thought he would live on the human side. But now, he was going to leave it all. His tribe, his friends, his family. Everything. Chance’s parents always worried about him when he ran away and came back wearing strange human clothes. He had to leave now, before his parents started watching him more carefully.
Chance ran out to where he hid his human clothes. He stripped off his tribal clothes and bent down, placing his hands onto the ground. Shiny blue fur lashed down his neck and across his body. His face warped into a muzzle and his ears pointed up. His body warped into the anatomy of a large strong wolf, a tail growing out at his rear end. Chance ripped up the dirt under him with his sharp strong claws. There, under the dirt, was a dark blue jacket and a pair of black shorts inside of a plastic bag. Grabbing the bag in his mouth, the blue wolf turned around and bolted to the line separating the humans from the wolf people. Never…coming…back

Jaylee turned her head as her sensitive ears caught the sound of padding feet. Grasping a bag of clothes given to her by a fellow tribe member, she quickly ran off toward the sound and scent. Her eyes widened slightly as she heard the familiar sounds of war. This was nothing more but the sounds of grunting men as some turned to wolves while others resorted to using arrows and a few man-made guns to fire from afar. Women also scrambled away into the huts, afraid for their children who eagerly looked outside just to get a peek of the brave men who went off to war. Pfft. Brave men. Yeah right! Was all that Jaylee could think of. She knew these men were the cause of the war. They had began to attack the humans and she thought that it wasn't right. However her mother told her to keep a calm head for it was man's business and men only. But she couldn't couldn't leave it alone now could she? No.
Grunting with difficulty, Jaylee crouched down, catching that familiar sight and scent of Chance- a person who she often talked to because of their similar points on this meaningless war. Yet he wanted to run and now... this was his chance. Yet Jaylee couldn't let him go. The human world out there was frightening at times. She herself had gone out to explore from time to time and she found the place quite fearful. Those creatures had the lightest of skin from a bright pale color to a pink color. Their hair had the strangest limitations, only kept to the colors of yellow-white, brown and and a dark black. She just couldn't comprehend it. And whenever she did stride into a group of people, they stared at her as if she was crazy.
Jaylee hated that feeling and seeing that those men were killing off many tribe members, she just couldn't think of what would happen to Chance if those men found out that he was from a wolf tribe. She shuddered at the thought, pulling her hand through her yellow streaked, black hair. She closed her eyes and in moments, a young, lean wolf stood in her place once again. Fur as dark as night yet yellow swirls lashed, cutting through the darkness with the brightest of colors. Jaylee gave off a bark pushing forward, leaping and dodging. <Chance! Chance! Wait!!> She called out in the most distressed tone. Nearing into a leaping distance she grunted, pushing her hind legs forward and tackling the brute down to the ground, pinning him by the shoulders. <Chance! Are you crazy?!?>

<Maybe,> Chance replied in his soft deep voice. He smirked, waiting to see if the wolf would let him go. Jaylee. The girl that Chance talked to. The girl he had a slight crush on. The only person he felt a little guilty for leaving behind. <So what do you want with me?> he whispered, ears perked up to catch the sound of anyone coming.
Although he had feelings for the girl, he couldn’t let it stop him from leaving. No matter what she said, he would have to go anyway. He braced himself for any comments that would make him want to stay.
Chance’s parents had always told him how hurt they would be if he ran away. They lectured him about it every time he came back from running away. But none of their words ever stopped his thoughts of leaving. And now, they wouldn’t stop him from actually leaving.

Jaylee narrowed her eyes, feeling a bit angered by his plain, empty words <Chance! Don't you dare play with me. You know what I'm here for. I'm taking you back to the tribe!> She growled shaking her head in dismay. She just couldn't let him leave... no...not now. Jaylee had gotten to know him well and she knew that he wanted to leave. He loved the human world more than tribal life and she couldn't blame him. Nearly everyday there was a funeral for those who had fallen in battle for both human and wolf- though the human funerals weren't as majestic as their own. But they were born here. Born to serve their Alphas who ruled and protected them. It was just the way of life and the way she was told to follow.
Taking a step back she lowered her head, ears flattened upon the back of her head. <Come on, you can't leave the tribe now.> Now here were those familiar words she used whenever Chance chose to ran away but he seemed serious. Jaylee cast a glance down at the plastic bag that held those human clothes that looked uncomfortable to wear in more ways than one, then to the bag of their own tribal clothes that she kept to bring along. <You know what those humans will do to you? They will kill you, Chance. Just the way they are doing to our people right now.> Her eyes traveled back down to the handsome male wolf, smiling like usual at the sight of his rugged blue fur and that strong muscular build. She couldn't help herself and it was true. She did have a small crush on him but was it really love or just the sense of similarity between them. Jaylee didn't know. Yet her smile quickly disappeared as she turned serious once again. Standing her ground, she blocked his way.

Chance laughed to himself, as he heard that familiar phrase. <You say that all the time.> He paused to listen for any other tribe members. <I’m not staying. No matter what you say or do, I’m leaving. Yeah, the humans kill our people, but we kill them too. > He closed his eyes and smirked again. <I’ve been on the human side a lot more than you have. I can take care of myself.>
His ear twitched as he heard the sound of a wolf’s footsteps. <I don’t have any time for this. I’ll see y— er wait…I won’t….uh…well….bye,> he whispered, slipping out of her grip and bolting away. He didn’t want to leave just yet, but he couldn’t risk being caught. This was the only chance he had to escape and he would take it. Escape. Escaping from my home. It doesn’t make much sense, but that’s okay. I’m already ‘crazy’, he thought, remembering Jaylee’s words. Jaylee….She’ll survive without me.

Jaylee looked back, narrowing her eyes as she found it was the Alpha, Kontu. He was a large male wolf, much bigger compared to her as well any anyone else in the tribe, which easily placed him in the highest of ranks. Turning her head, she realized that Chance had gone, yet she wasn't ready to say goodbyes just yet...
Looking back at her leader, Jaylee bowed respectfully and he gave her an acknowledging nod. <What are you doing here, Jaylee. Its not safe. You know that.> He asked looking over her for a moment. He was like a father to her since her father went off into the human world and never returned and ever since, her mother worried about her, sending Kontu in to watch her.
<Kontu, you know I can go out here alone! I'm not a pup.> She grunted stubbornly, her mind still flauntering[don't know if this is a word] off in worry of what would happen to Chance. She knew he was more experienced in the human world than she was, but she had lost her father to that other world and she wasn't about to lose her best friend and future lover, now would she? The femme, lifted her dark black eyes back onto the male shaking her head back and forth as she found scratches that were from those wicked spears that humans held and those fire torches as well as their guns. Ruthless weapons they were. <I'm nearly 18. I can stand my own ground.> Lashing her tail, Jaylee was off quickly grasping both bags of clothes into her mouth- hoping quietly that Kontu hadn't seen- and rushing off in Chance's direction. I'm not gonna let him go...
<Chance! Chance!> She whispered, turning her head slightly just in-case the Alpha was following. Luckily he wasn't and Jaylee was left to do her business. She gave a smile and quickly leaped forward, landing squarely in front of the feisty brute. <Chance...You...*huff*...*huff* Left your human clothes.> She had scrambled to see him so fast, she didn't realize how much energy she actually used up. Note to self: Never sprint if not needed.

<I could have managed. But I guess you just can’t stay away from me, huh?> Chance answered, smiling. He looked back to where Jaylee had come from and sighed. <You didn’t tell him, did you?> Kontu. The Alpha of the tribe. The one wolf that yelled at him constantly for venturing onto the human side so much. Chance had often talked about the Alpha with Jaylee, always saying that he “lived just to yell at him.”
Chance was still uneasy about leaving the girl, but he knew he would get over it after meeting so many humans. But what if he didn’t meet other people? What if he was going to be stuck alone on the human side? Kontu most likely wouldn’t let Chance come back after leaving for so long. The boy started to doubt his decision of leaving. But he couldn’t go back on his decision now. It was too late.

Jaylee gave off a slightly grunt, knowing that if she was in human form she would have set her hands upon her hips in response to his ridiculous response- yet it was partially true. She didn't want him to go. Not at all yet the reasons were scattered and not exactly for sure. <Don't be silly. Of course I didn't, Chance.> She lowered her head giving off another heavy sigh as she finally caught her breath. <He wanted to know why I was here- being his usual annoying self. But I dealt with him.> And by 'dealt with', Jaylee meant 'run away from'.
BANG!
The black and yellow wolf was suddenly cut off as she fell abruptly onto her side, twitching and jerking as pain slithered through her body, from the point of a small bleeding hole upon her shoulder.
"Ha! I got's one, men! I see 'n other one of 'em!! Hurry!" Came the sound of a man's rough, ragged voice. Clearly it was the one who had fired. Jaylee, still clenching in pain, lifted her head giving a firm bark of warning once again that was similar to her earlier warning. She should have scented it. The strong musk of man, yet she was caught off guard and now, pain was all that kept her down. <Run Chance!! Run! They're coming!!> And by 'they're' the femme was referring to both species: Human and Wolf. Scrambling to her paws she nudged the brute forward, whimpering as pain dragged her down. Yet, the man who had shot first was now in her view and his finger was placed firmly upon the trigger. <Chance!!> She cried out and once again, BANG!! and the arena was shrouded with smoke.
