Two together will they fight

Under the words of the long past Master Shi-Fu and his master, the great Master Igue, many have long awaited the answer to their important prediction. What does it mean? Who will they be? Who are they going to fight? Those questions flurry past years and years until, ten centuries later after all the old masters including Po, the Furious Five and the old masters of Kung Fu had passed on, the prophecy still stays long and clear, engraved upon the side of the Kung Fu temple- waiting patiently for their simple words to finally come true.

But who will they be?

Now a hidden threat has reveled itself in rumors. Many say something is coming to their little village in China. Other say the prophecy will finally come true. Others say that the masters have been angered. But by what? Yet rumors are rumors and everyone is uncertain. The assumption of all of this lies in the hands of the new residents of the Temple: Master Yei-Lee and his apprentices, Palea, Keilo and some newer additions. Yet the question still lies: Who will they be?

Fur dark as night, eyes as bright as light, Palea stood, crouched upon the tip of the Jade Temple. Her eyes peering out toward the sunrise, only slits from just awakening from a deep and silent sleep. Orange, red and yellow streaks flashing from the arising ball of heat, immediately warming her cold fur from the long winter night. Yet she had chosen to keep upon the very tip of this large building all night long. But it was to her own personal reason, no punishment at all. ”The sunrise is sweet.” She murmured, giving a light smile, gradually stretching out her long limbs in that cat-like fashion. She cast a glance back behind her where the sun had yet to reach with its large rays. It’s time. With q swift leap, Palea leaped into the air, curling into a front flip just as a warm-up before landing firmly upon her paws.

As if on que, the doors opened to her arrival and she darted in, tail lashing like a snake in the sky. Flying wooden, swinging pegs greeted her, upon the other side spikes nearly two inches long. Quick and swift she dodged left, right then crack! her paw swung forth, breaking one of them into dozens of sharp pieces. Thus she continued on, dodging and breaking with all her might. Pushing off one rushing peg toward her, she did a double back flip, landing firmly on the hard ground behind her.

Her breathing was ragged, her eyes narrowed once again as she looked up at the roughage she had caused- but that was normal. Palea had been training upon the very training course that Tigress, one of her ancestors from the furious five had trained upon as well. And both cause caused that much destruction.

Feng yawned and stretched his arms as he sat up in his small room. “I’m late again aren’t I? Ah!” he yelled, jumping to his feet, grabbing his shirt, and running out the door. The doors burst open as he ran through the courtyard and into the training room. “Palea!” Feng said, grinning and holding his arms up, asking for a hug.

Palea turned her head, eyes quickly widening as she spotted Feng. ”Ha! Finally up, I see.” She purred quickly running up to him, tackling him to the ground as usual. ”You little sleepy head.” She giggled, embracing him warmly. Her eyes traveled back up at him, glittering brightly with that golden glaze, whiskers twitching in anticipation. ”But you know, Yei-Lee wont be too happy with you always sleeping in.” She curled her tail, raising a furry eye-brow.

”Why don’t you ask him yourself? Came a voice from behind- from a raccoon to be exact. He let out a faint chuckle, his hand gripping the long staff in his hand firmly. ”Now which one of you two shall I have go outside and take a long hike while Kailo in the kitchen eats his warm breakfast?” The little furry animal was definitely small, yet immediately, Palea jumped to her paws, standing ready at attention. He was their master. Small- yet fast and witty at that.

She shook her head. ”No Master Yei-Lee. If it shall be anyone, then it shall be me.” She gave a bow, her eyes traveling calmly back to Feng.

“Yei-Lee!” he said, awkwardly, lying on the ground. “No, wait! You see, I let her knock me down, I swear,” Feng yelled, leaping up to his feet. He smiled at his master, closing his eyes and bowing gracefully. Finally remembering the shirt still in his paws, he shoved his arms into the missing sleeves and stretched his arms again.

The young cheetah could be graceful when he wanted to be, but he was very clumsy if he didn’t care. He always wore the same black pants and white shirt with a white belt tied around his waist and dark grey bandages wrapped around his chest and arms. Besides his blue Mohawk, red eyes, brown nose and ears, and white muzzle, his body was all a light yellow, speckled with black spots. Feng had always been attracted to Palea since he had started training with her a few years ago.

“Teacher’s pet,” Feng joked as he always did. “Though, I’m the one who woke up late so I need more training today.” He grinned his charisma smile; the one that he believed attracted females and made males think of him as strong yet graceful. The cheetah crossed his arms, glancing at Palea with his gleaming red eyes.

”Silence!” The old master rasped, shaking his weary head. ”Both of you go claim breakfast.” Yei-Lee turned around and walked quietly out of the room, his striped tail twitching with each step. Irritant young ones. Sometimes I wish that they would just grow old like me. He turned his head giving a wide grin. But that wouldn’t be good now would it? The old raccoon couldn’t help but laugh at the two. They were perfectly in sync in both battle and training and it wasn’t surprising that he spotted a bit of attraction between them, ever since the start of their training together. And strangely enough, in the beginning, Palea had refused to work with the cheetah in the first place but after some charm from all three males of the temple, she eventually gave in and their story together began.

Yei-Lee stroked his long beard that had grown white over time as he pushed the doors to the kitchen with one simple touch of the long staff he held in the palm of his paw. This staff had belonged to Master Igue himself, yet it had to be repaired after a failed apprentice of Shi-Fu had broken it. Still, it served an important part of this temple even though the secrets of the dragon scroll were reveled. And still at that, the masters of this temple continued to train students just to protect their village below and China- if they were called upon of course. Thus, Yei-Lee pondered on, smiling as he found the little monkey, Kailo sitting eagerly at the table with an empty bowl of noodle soup in front of him. And yes, this was Po’s recipe that he had shown the creatures of the temple before he passed on; still, it serves as a wonderful meal that everyone enjoys.

Palea looked back at Feng, giggling softly in amusement. ”I would be happy that this ‘teacher’s pet’ didn’t claw you to the ground right now.” She gave a sly grin, lashing her tail softly to one side to another before taking a step back and embracing him in a more proper hug. ”Come on, Feng. We don’t want Kailo to eat our breakfast again.” Her bright yellow eyes peered toward the door as she began tugging him toward the kitchen. But her eyes quickly darted back up toward him, a soft twinkle in her eye as she noticed that familiar warm smile that she had come to enjoy. True enough, she took had hidden feelings for the handsome cat, yet they were still yet to be uncovered by both.

The young panther wouldn’t usually be this playful. Before Feng and Kailo had come, Palea was Yei-Lee’s main apprentice. He trained her in the expert art of Kung Fu and her life was basically train all day and no play. Yet she excelled fast like the felines who came before her. Master Tigeress, Tai-Long and man others. Yet, her life was boring to say the least, however, she didn’t complain. Palea knew the training would keep her diligent and alert. It would help her train hard and soon she would be acceptable to serve as a master along side Yei-Lee when he went out to save the village from a few threats- those adventures of which, she wanted to tag along. Yet, still, he would not let her.

However, her life was soon turned strangely upside down in places that she hadn’t expected. Kailo had come to the temple and began training in his silly-monkey way and at first, Palea was apprehensive about making such a friend- a creature who just played around all day, but all the while training as well. It just seemed strange to her, yet she had never done it. However, after much convincing, Kailo finally got her to play around a bit from time to time, letting her instincts take over like chasing around a yarn ball- whenever Yei-Lee wasn’t looking of course and her life became pretty fun. But her hard and firm training technique stayed as normal- train before play.

Then came Feng. Palea greeted him just as she always did to new-comers, with a cold, hard glare as she examined their movements and tactics. Feng had seemed like a funny guy just like Kailo and those two immediately became friends- or so she supposed and soon Yei-Lee had partnered her with that cheetah, seeing that both were cats and their training would be pretty much the same. And soon, before Palea knew it, she was enjoying her life way more than before. And here they are today, training as they do and playing around even when Yei-Lee found them.

Palea quickly ran forward, sprinting into her seat as graceful and fluid as not to shake the table where slightly warmed noodle soup awaited her. Eagerly, she grabbed a pair of chopsticks and straightened herself up, before digging in, in a polite manner. It wasn’t long though, until she found that hunger had been haunting her since early last night and she couldn’t help herself from taking seconds.

Feng laughed as the panther ran into the kitchen, quickly following after her. “So I heard you were up on the roof all night,” the cheetah said as he sat down in his usual seat at the table. “What were you doing? Kissing up to Yei-lee?” he teased, filling his bowl with the secret recipe ramen. “Or kissing Yei-Lee!” he laughed, finding a way to make fun of his master as he always did. The cat put down his chopsticks and started slurping up the noodles straight from the bowl. A few seconds later, he refilled his empty bowl, wiping soup from the corner of his mouth.

Palea raised an eyebrow turning her head toward the cheetah. ”Ha! Yeah right. I bet your would be jealous of him if I were.” She purred, suppressing a laugh as her tail lashed forth upon the tip of his nose. Her eyes glittered in bright amusement. It was so fin and oh so easy to make fun of the old master, yet often he caught them in the act and the results were never easy.

But then, there came a knock to the door, followed by a sudden crash. This was caused by a messenger duck who looked quite frantic in appearance and expression. ”Yei-Lee! Yei-Lee! News from the town. “ He squawked, bowing his head in a messy fashion. ”What is it, Ten-ye?” The raccoon asked, padding forward whilst Palea straightened up, alarm prickling at each hair. ”Trouble’s been brewing, but not here. Off in the town of Dey. Someone’s causing trouble but BIG trouble. They are requesting help from our temple.” ”What can it be this time?” Yei-Lee growled turning his head away. ”You are dismissed.” He waved his hand before turning back toward Palea, Feng and Kailo.

Palea’s eyes widened. ”Aren’t you going to go, Yei-Lee? Feng, Kailo and I can watch the temple.” She nodded confidently.

Yei-Lee stood there for a moment, his eyes nearly buried in the dark black mask-design embedded into his fur. ”No.” Came his final reply. He took a deep breath before lifting his weary gaze. ”I cannot travel that long distance and fight the threat alone.”

”Then who will come with you?” Palea asked.

”No one. I’m not going.”

Palea’s eyes widened in surprise. ”But…”

The raccoon shook his head and stuck out his paw. ”No. I’m not going. You, Kailo and Feng will go. I think all three of you are experienced enough to go on your own. But, Palea… I’m counting on you to watch over the others and be their leader. Be careful and diligent and remember all I taught you.” He gave a gentle smile. ”I know you can do it.”

The panther suddenly straightened up, giving a deep bow. ”Thank you… Master Yei-Lee. Thank you so much.” She looked back toward Feng with delighted eyes. Ten-Ye quickly handed her a scroll set with directions to the town. She quickly looked it over then nodded. ”Ok.” She took a deep breath before sprinting to her room and grabbing her sword- the only thing she would need, before returning back to the front of the temple where everyone stood ready and alert. ”Lets go.” Palea nodded toward Yei-Lee and he gave her a respectful bow before she turned to Feng and Kailo. ”Ready?”

Feng smiled his “charisma grin” again as he responded, “Maybe I would be.” He leaned toward her slightly as her tail went across his nose. The cheetah often flirted with girls, and more often with Palea.

The young cat stayed calm, like usual, as the duck crashed through the door. He quietly listened to the conversation between Yei-Lee and the messenger, leaning back in his seat without care. As the news came to his ears, excitement built up inside of him. Finally. Finally something interesting.

A grin spread across Feng’s face as the old raccoon told the apprentices his plan. “We’re going?” he muttered, his ears standing up.

But his ears soon drooped down as their master said that Palea was in charge. “What? C’mon! Why her?” he whined, yet not sounding childish. He sighed, knowing that Yei-Lee would not change his mind. “Never mind, I’ll go get my things,” he muttered, running to his room.

The only thing in his room was a bamboo stick, the cheetah’s height, painted with red and gold. Feng rushed into the small room and grabbed the bamboo stick. He spun it around in his hand, just to feel that same strange energy that he always felt when he fought. The cheetah shoved the weapon into his white belt and ran back to where the others were gathered.

Feng bowed gracefully at the panther he admired, giving her his “charisma smile” once again. “I’m ready.”

Palea giggled, scratching the fur under his chin playfully. ”Good.” She purred giving a firm nod before turning back to the many stairs leading down into the village. ”Take care, both of you.” Yei-Lee said confidently as they parted, his wise eyes traveling gradually up at the two youngsters. It wasn’t a long goodbye and soon they were off and striding through the village.

The black panther looked back at her companion, golden eyes sparkling in excitement. It was the first time Yei-Lee had let her go on such a serious mission and she was happy he didn’t send her alone. Her fluffy night black tail lashed from side to side, sliding under Feng’s chin in a seductive movement, walking as sexily as possible. It had been a long walk and as the sun began to set, it was time for a bit of play upon this journey. She too often flirted with the handsome cheetah. It was easy and fun after all, but if felt right all the same. ”Hmm, how long do you think we’ll be walking, Feng?” She asked, looking back at him, letting out a gentle purr.

Feng walked comfortably with the bamboo stick as he was always used to. “Probably a pretty long time. Just the two of us…” he purred, responding to her question. He took in a deep breath of the fresh air of China that he enjoyed so much. The cheetah glanced suspiciously at the panther.

Quick as his species was, Feng flicked his bamboo weapon up into the air and whipped his white belt at Palea’s butt. A grin spread across his face as he tied the belt across his forehead and caught the staff. He spread his legs out and held his empty hand in front of him and the staff to the side of him, posing in a basic kung fu stance. Though it was basic, the young cheetah looked mighty and swift in the pose. The bamboo staff cut through the air as he spun it around in his hand, making what was like a round shield, almost invisible. Feng lowered his head and the grin widened as he looked up at the panther and winked.

Palea gave a light squeak as he smacked her backside in the most preposterous way, yet unlike other femmes that would usually slap the male back across the cheek, she raised an eyebrow and pulled out her own bamboo stick that she kept strapped across her back at all times. ”You wanna play little kitty?” The panther gave a sly grin before quickly slapping the side of his hip as quick as he had flashed out his own weapon.

The black cat lashed her tail once again around his legs before turning her back to him and crouching forward, displaying clear as day, her round butt; tail up through a hole in her pants- custom fit for each big cat including Feng. ”Try and catch me, Tiger!” And as quick as ever, she leaped into the trees, the bamboo stick catapulting her through the branches.

Palea bounced from tree to tree in a sort of zig-zag pattern as she kept her behind under check all the while keeping on trail out of the village. ”Come on, Kitty Kitty. Catch me if you can!” She purred, slowing down, yet she knew it was a slight mistake for the cheetah was obviously faster than her species, the black panther, and adding to that, the sun was shining brightly, uncovering her usual shadowy cover.

The cheetah growled playfully and sprung into the trees after her, showing off the speed of his species. Though panthers were more suited for climbing, Feng used both his tail and the bamboo staff for balance as he jumped from tree to tree. His whole body was filled with exhilaration from the action.

Quickly catching up with her, Feng swung his staff at her butt, panting and laughing loudly as he stayed with the panther’s pace. “Shouldn’t I be the one calling you kitty?” he managed to wheeze out in between his fast breathing.

Feng was having some of the most fun he had had in a very long time. Even though every day with Palea was fun, joking around and flirting with her, being all alone with her was one of the things he enjoyed the most. Adrenaline ran through his body. He didn’t often get embarrassed, but their constant exchanging of flirting was giving him ideas of them actually being together.

Pelea leaped just in time for the Bamboo stick to swing just out of reach of her butt. She gave another seductive purr, looking back at him, batting her eye lashes gently. ”Hm… I guess so…” She let out a playful giggle before leaping higher into the trees, sending herself into a full backflip to land down upon the cheetah’s back. She gave another gentle purr, kissing him lightly upon the cheek before leaping off his back, landing firmly upon the ground below. ”Over here, Feng!” She raised an eyebrow wondering if he would notice her absence, ears pulling back against the back of her furry head.

Blood rushed to Feng’s cheek as the panther’s lips touched his cheek, turning his face pink. His smile spread across his face, as he lost balance for a second. The cheetah shook his head and jumped down to join Palea. “What was that for?” Feng purred, tying the belt back onto his waist and replacing the bamboo stick in it.

Palea blushed just as well, yet luckily, her slight embarrassment was hidden well under neither her midnight black fur. She slowly returned her own bamboo stick to its sheath upon her back. Gracefully, she hopped up beside him, purring lightly. ”Nothing really.” She mewed, giving a seductive little grin as she lashed her tail back and forth.

Yet, their moment was broken as an arrow sped between her ears, Palea quickly ducking in her feline reflexes. ”Run!” She scowled, quickly leaping away, grabbing Feng’s hand in the process. Her eyes narrowed as she looked back to find archers, aiming eagerly at the two of them. Why are they heading toward us?? She thought, hissing in frustration. Yet it was clear why they were here. They are the warriors of the gate. The Gate that leads out into the other towns. ”We cant fight them, Feng.” She huffed speeding up.
