Short Bio: Name-Chad Wellings Age-17 Grade-Junior Attitude-Chad overall has a laid-back, go-with-the-flow view of life. But this doesn't mean his lazy. Which he isn't. He's outgoing, nice, and very supportive of the team. That's probably because he's the team captain as the quarterback. He could also be considered a chick-magnet, though he has no girlfriend. Looks-Chad is extremely good-looking. To start, he has short brown hair and bright blue eyes. Not weird blue, but a cool blue. He's 6'2" and has a nice build. Not super muscular, but just enough to look good and have a 6-pack.
Role-Play Intro: (ooc: just an idea for anyone who joins=have your charrie be waking up then all the charries meet at the bus-stop) "Chad!! Get your butt down here this instant, mister!!! Your gonna miss the bus if you keep this up!!!" Chad's mom yelled from the kitchen. At that same moment, the alarm clock next to his bed went off for the third time, making Chad fall off the bed trying to reach for the 'Snooze' button. "Damn you..." he muttered to the alarm clock, still ringing. Just minutes after that, he was already downstairs, fully dressed, ready for school, and gulping down the last of the milk to wash down the Pop-Tart he just had. He quickly kissed his mom good-bye and ruffled his younger brother's hair and shot out the door before his brother could hit him. "Love you too, Tommy!!" he yelled over his shoulder as soon as he reached the side-walk.
As he walked down to the road, Chad thought about the big game. He still couldn't believe he was the caption of the team. 'I guess I'm good enough' he thought to himself. 'If I'm starting quarterback, I must be!!' The team was 12-1 this year, and he hoped it would go 13-1. It was getting cold, so he threw on his trade-mark red-and-white hoodie and put the hood up. When he finally did reach the bus-stop, he was surprised to find he was the only one there. He brushed it aside and sat down by a tree, flipping out his Ipod and listening to some preppy music.

,, torrence LAREE "Torrence!" Came a voice, yelling from downstairs. The voice came from the kitchen, and belonged to Angelina LaRee. "Yah Mom?" Another voice piped up from the kitchen doorway, the one leading to the living room. Angelina turned around, smiling. "Oh, Tory your up. Sorry about yelling, but do you ---- The women didn't get to finish her sentence because her daughter finished it for her. "Know where you keys are?" The girl said, a large key chain dangling from her pinky as she held it towards her mother. The women gave her daughter one of those, god-your-a-life-saver, sort of looks and then tooks the keys. "Thank you Tor, now remember don't -- Again with the sentence finising, came the reply of the daughter. "Late for your bus, I know Mom. Don't you be late for the plane. Go. I know the rules - and Layla will help Adam to school. Go now, before you miss it and we're all stuck with you for another day!" Torrence said, laughing at her own comments. Her mother was taking a short business trip to Japan for her magazine company - leaving Tor to babysit her little brother Adam. Thank god she had her friend Layla's help with it. Layla was eighteen, and out of high school - taking evening courses, and thus able to babysit Tory's little brother for the morning, while Tor got 'im at night. Torrence smiled at her mother as a look of relief crossed over her face. "Be good," she said, taking a step forward to kiss her daughter on the cheek. "I always am," she replied, smiling still as Angelina LaRee hurried out of the kitchen doorway. Tory didn't move though until she heard the keys in the door click, and the Lexus Maxima start in the driveway - only then did she move away from leaning on the doorway. The young blonde sighed slightly. Her mo was always off here and there on some sort of business trip, but Tory was used to it by now. Ever since she was a little girl her mom had been the Cheif Editor of Glamour magizine, and thus she was always here and there collecting ideas from everywhere really. Tor rolled her eyes at the thoughts. It was just like the varsity cheerleader to be standing there thinking while she had other things in mind, like waking up Adam for instance. The junior walked out of the kitchen, slowing climbing the stairs that led to the second floor. She slowly slid toward her baby brother's door, opening it a bit to find that the boy was still asleep in his bed. She rolled her eyes, just like her little brother to sleep in - ignoring his alarm clock. Torrence walked over to his bed, leaning over it a bit to shake the brown-haired kid awake. "Come on Addy, wake up. Auntie Layla will be here soon," she cooed to Adam. The boy groaned slightly, opening his pale blue eyes a bit. "Can't Lay wake me up then?" Tor smiled at her brother, "Sure, but try to be a little awake and make it easier on her though, 'kay?" she asked, recieving a simply nod. She smiled, and leaned down to kiss him on the forhead. "That's my boy, now be good for Laylay or else she'll call me from school!" Torrence said, shutting the overhead light off in her brother's room as she walked out. The cheerleader pushed the sleeve of her shirt back a bit, checking the bright gold watch. Late, late again. Brilliant! She was practically always one of the last ones to the bus - couldn't one day she arrive early? Torrence tapped her watch slightly. Maybe it was wrong. But all it did was make the hands go to the actual time, two minutes after what it had said. She groaned slightly, running down the stairs. She grabbed her black and grey messanger bag, slinging it over her shoulder. Tory's attire for today was rather plain actually if you think about how she usually dresses. She had on a long-sleeved, tight white t-shirt, with one of the school jersey's cheerleaders got for being, well, a cheerleader. ( xD ) Then she had on a pale pair of white-washed jeans along with her brown and blue running shoes. Simple outfit, scary for LaRee. Torrence locked the door behind her, and then began off as a das toward the bus stop. She lived roughly three blocks away from it - so if she wanted to make it on time she had to dash, or sprint at least. As she rounded the last corner she stopped and saw that only roughly three people were there. "Damn watch!" she hissed, shaking her wrist slightly and checking it again. Now it showed ten minutes early then when she usually left. Tory rolled her eye. 'Least I'm early,' she thought as she eyed who all were there. Two of the Yearbook Editors - Ashii and Christen, and then the star player of the football team - Chad Wellings. She rolled her eyes. 'Wonder if his ego got any bigger since the last game,' she thought to herself, smiling slightly. Tor was a harsh judge of football players - seeing as she cheered for them constantly and always watched, not to mention that her boyfriend was one. Ironic isn't it that the captain of the Rellder High's cheerleading squad was dating the captain of the Liator Knights' football team? It was always a wonder she kept cheering for Rellder during the games, but when she wasn't doing a cheer she was Knights all the way. But she was in a social mood, so why not talk to her boyfriend's worst enemy? "Hi Wellings!" she called as she neared, smiling at the quarterback. "Ready for the game tomorrow night?" she asked. Tor was never told these things, not even her boy would tell her anything about the Knights, something about his team mates being afraid she'd go off and tell someone who cared. Like that was gonna happen.[/blockquote]

As Chad Wellings continued to jam to his Ipod, other people began to come to the bus stop. First Ashii and then Christen. When they started talking about some yearbook thing, Chad closed his eyes and concentrated more on the music. But this ended as soon as a voice broke into his conscious, saying his name. He reluctantly looked up only to see the hottest girl in the school looking right at him.
He took off his head-phones and stood up. This would, with-out-a-doubt be the one girl he would say yes to if she asked him out. But that would never happen. He hated Michael at times like these, but it would instantly go away. He was a great football player, and a good guy off the field. Never gloated or anything last time they won. But still, damn she was hot!!!
"How could I not be!" Chad joked with her. 'Keep your cool, Chad. Don't go overboard.' he told himself. "Still dating Michael? It's amazing that you don't just go to Liator!"

,, torrence LAREE Tory stepped up to the bus stop, saying a quick hello to Ashii and Christ before Chad spoke. Her green eyes darted to him. 'Oh yeah, his ego got bigger,' she confirmed to herself. This was the time where Tor put on a flirty smile - like she always did while passing back sarcastic or rude comments to another person. "Simple. You could still be down about the only loose you had, ya' know the one against the knights," she said, smiling mischeiviously. Tori raised an eyebrow, looking at Chad. She had thought about switching schools herself - but all of her friends were here on and off the football team, and the only people she knew from Liator High were Michael and his football friends - And even if she did leave how would she ever get her cheer captain position there? They had so many wanna-be cheerleaders she'd never even get to try-out! "Yes actually, I am still dating him. Going on a year and a half," she said smiling slightly, "And because my family lives here. I'd move to Liator if I had the choice." She stated simply, readjusting the strap of her messanger bag. "Were trying are hardest not to get down about the other loss," he replied with a smirk, not know why he did. He was a little down about the 'still-dating-him' part, but it was gone in a flash. "Congrats on the year-and-a-half-thing. Well, just think once you graduate you can move in with him. And then think what would happen!!" he said with a smile as the bus pulled up. As everyone got on in the correct order, he muttered "Da-da-da-dum, da-da-da-dum!!" just loudly enough so the cheerleader behind him could hear it.
As he looked around the bus, he suddenly wondered about the social statuses of the school. Back of the bus, the Athletes. A.K.A the Jocks. Then the cheerleaders, also with the Jocks. And then, everyone else. But at the very front are the super nerds. Nobody likes them, and most have a reason why. They think they own the school and rule because there so smart. Like thats ever gonna happen!!!! He took his place at the back of the bus and thought about bugging Tori some more about the 'Michael' thing. Nah, he thought to himself, taking out the football in his back-pack and tossing it into air.

,, torrence LAREE Tori smirked right back, rolling her eyes as she glanced at one of the sophomore players. "Hmm, trying is the main word apparently," she said, quickly pointing toward the jock who seemed miserable while he looked at the football records. Every year the scoring went back and forth - most of the time. Last year - miraculously - the Mustangs had won the title of State Campion. Everyone had celebrated, including the cheerleaders - even though they had all the night of the game went over the scores over the past fifteen years, like they did every State Game. The year before the Knights had won, the year before that Mustangs didnt even get into the Championships - Knights won anyway. It was a confusing go of the games, but after five hours of looking through it and watching America's Next Top Model on VH1 they finally found out that the score stood at Mustangs 6 - Knights 9. They had told the football team the Monday next, but all of the boys had laughed besides the seniors, the only ones who actually knew that was how it was. But Torrence had a suspicion that all of the guys looked through the records after schools and realized the girls were right, because they all seemed more down about it the next weeks after.
Then Chad's next comment came. Move in with Mike after high school? Getting married? It wasn't all that odd actually - they had talked about it. Michael was a senior, while Tor was only a junior. Mike would go off to some college on the scholarship he had gotten in his sophomore year, and Tori would follow him there with her academics. Had they thought about getting married though? A bit, sort of. She had mentioned it one time - and he had pushed it away, the same thing had happened when he had mentioned it, she just pushed it away. As she thought she twidled with her rings. She had two on her right hand, and one on her left. On her right she had her birthstone, and a small ring on onyx with some sort of celtic design on it. On her left she had her promise ring on her ring finger. Then it came to her, time for a trick? Maybe get Chad a little tense and some new gossip around the school. The promise ring was new from a few weeks ago, and no one had really seen it because of Torrence's new thing for the hand sweaters - the shirts that looped around your fingers so they don't push up. She was wearing one like it now, where her right hand was covered and her left wasn't. Perfect time to show off the ring. The plan wouldn't work if it didn't look like a proper engagement ring - but it did. Her mother went all out on these things. It was sterling silver, with liquid gold in the center of it, only shown through a little see-through part in the middle. The placed on the front was a diamond, just big enough for a medium-sized engagement ring. It was perfect for the trick.
Torrence bit her tongue. Did she want to be the gossip of the school. Didn't really matter, she was already for just dating Mike - but was this going a bit too far? Didn't matter now though. She was on the bus, and her friends had already spotted her with her platinum blonde hair with dark brown streaks, wearing her jersey that said number 1 one the front, and LAREE on the back. Tori smiled and waved at them, taking a seat near the inner isle - so that her left was facing the jocks. She just heard the end of their conversation, and giggled along with them. Then they asked her how her date with Mike had been last night. They had no grudge against her, seeing as they all dated guys not only from Reddler. She smiled, also the perfect time to show off the promise ring. They'd definately see it, and their loud talk would get the other jocks to notice it - the ones who hadn't already.
Torrence moved her sleeve up a bit more, and then with her left hand pushed her bangs out of her face. The diamond sparked in the sunlight, definately getting attention from a good many people. Either it was because of how regal it looked, or because it was on her left ring finger. Either was a good option. Tori then giggled softly, just skimming the details of the date with her anxious friends - who of course wanted to know about the ring. The out of the corner of her eye glanced at the jocks, they were all whispering a little about something. Her maybe? This only made her smile more as she went back to talking. Her news about the ring would come last, the details on the dates came first. But there was only Ana and Massie left for the dates - but they should be at school by then. She'd fill them in at first hour cheer practice.

Chad casually tossed a football in the air as he thought about Tori. He thought about the game to, but mainly about Tori. 'Get your head in the game, Chad!' he said to himself. Screw Tori. Let her have her fun. He opened his back-pack and searched for his Gatorade. When he finally found it, a bright light struck his face for a brief second. He ignored it and took a couple swigs of his drink. On the third sip, the light appeared again. So he looked over to see what it is. 'Just a stupid ring,' he thought to himself. And when he realized the ring was on Tori's finger, Gatorade nearly spurted out his mouth.
'Engaged!!' Chad franticly, thought. 'No fucking way!!! Holy crap!!' He took another look at the ring. Definitely looked like an engagement ring. 'It can't be!!' But it looked just like the one he had gotten for his old girlfriend, Katie Bellview. 'Slutty bitch', Chad thought, replacing shock with hidden anger. Close to their two-year anniversary, he had gotten her one. He was gonna surprise her at the game that happened that night because that seemed like the perfect time to pop the question. He went the entire day pretending that he forgot the day was important. But on his way to the game, he saw Katie with another guy. When he went for a closer look, he found Katie making out with the kicker from the other football team. He swiftly threw the ring in the gutter along with any love he had for her. Snapping back to reality, he quickly recovered. "Engaged, huh? Thats a new one." he said in a calm voice.

She smiled lightly as he watched a few of the jocks whisper together, and then glance at her occasionally. This made all of her cheerleaders giggle, but she gave them the 'I'll-tell-you-later,' look and most of them stopped. It was so amusing to chain on people, mostly for her fun - and maybe it would even mess up the football players a bit. If Rellder's top cheerleader was engaged to the captain of the other football team - why should they not be shaken up a bit. Tori's smile then faded a bit as Chad spoke; not because she wanted it to fade, but because it made her trick look even better. She shrugged it off slightly, putting her attention on twirling the ring on her finger. "Yeah, I've actually had it for a while - not that new really," she said, just as the bus pulled for a stop at the school. She would've continued to talk of course, but her group of girl pushed her into the isle and out of the door, like they did every day.
Torrence smiled to herself, still giving her friends the same look as earlier as some glared at her and others shrugged. The rest of the squad had morning class before cheer practice, so she departed them with a few hugs before hopping away toward the gymnasium. She walked into the girl's locker room, and dropped her backpack by her locker. It had started out like any other day, beides the hype in the atmosphere of course. Everyone was so thrilled about the game between the mustangs and the knights tomorrow night, it honestly got annoying.
She rolled her eyes, and then quickly changed into her sweat shorts and tank top, and slipped on her zip-up hoodie. Tori walked out of the locker room and through the gym outside. The air was still chilly and - like she had thought - there was no one outside. Tor sighed lightly as she walked over to one of the benches. It would be about thirty minutes - at the least - before one of her girls was out of class. The captain layed down on the bench, pulling her hood up over her face.
OOC, sorry its horrible. wrote it before school. =3

As Chad Wellings walked of the bus, he tried his hardest to forget Tori. Luckily, it wasn't hard. Besides, he had a lot on his mind. This day was gonna be fun. All he had to do was go strait to the gym. The entire day, in his home-away-from-home. As he walked to the gym, he wondered what Coach was gonna make them do. Chad liked Coach. He was a respectable man but a fun one at the same time. The best part was that the day before every game, he'd take the entire team out for pizza. Some of the cheerleaders came too. 'Some.' As he thought about that, his mind wandered to thoughts of Tori. Chad slammed his locker against his head as he thought this. As he jogged to the field, he looked around at his team. Most were looking uncomfortable. He could only guess why...
As Chad thought about how to lighten up the mood, an idea suddenly popped into his head. "Hey guys, if we win tomorrow, were going to a strip club!!!" he said to him team as he walked up to them. Almost all of the team knew he was only joking. But it still brought smiles to their faces. But, of course, the freshman stared at him with wide eyes. "Really?" one of them finally asked. "I was only joking, Matt. Anyway, let's get to work!" After a few moments of silence, everyone began cracking up at the freshman's disappointed faces.
The day went by fairly quickly after that. Play, run, take a break, etc. Chad was relieved when it was finally over. He walked briskly to his locker. He was NOT looking forward to the ride home. Tori was most likely gonna say things to him about the ring, just to annoy him. He jumped on the bus and took his seat at the back. Then Chad threw his backpack off, kicked his legs out to cover two whole seats, and tried to doze off.

,, torrence LAREE After waiting for about twenty minutes, and having nobody come - Tor began to doze off. Not intentionally of course, why would she do that? She wanted cheer practice as much as one of her squad mates, but when you don't get enough sleep and are up around dawn - sleep is good when ever you can get it. So yes, in all conclusions, Torrence fell asleep.
She was only drifting for about ten minutes though, before she felt herself falling. The girl normally had fast reflexes, and today wasn't an exception. A few things registered in her brain though before her mind began to start fully working. One was that the gorund was hard, and cold. Definately cold. The next was that her wrist hurt, a lot. Torrence let out a slight groan and then rolled over onto her back, her hood falling away from her face. Surrounding her was her cheer squad, with the other co-captain smirking at her. Her green eyes narrowed as she looked up, and then she yelled loudly. "Why are we all standing around? This is cheer practice ladies! Get moving!" They all then scrambled away into their smaller groups as the male cheerleaders exited the gym after their pys. ed. class. She smiled at them, and then jogged into her group as the other joined them.
Cheer practice had been going good, with everyone warming up a bit. Then they all began the actual routnes. Everything was going fine, until LaRee stepped up to the plate and told a cheer exercise she wanted to do with the rest of the squad for tomorrow night's football game. She stepped up into the boys' arms, and let them throw her into the air - like they did with most of the other cheers, but when she began coming down again she hadn't finished the cheer and serquence, and thus landed in their arms the wrong way. This caused the boys to drop her, and she landed on her shoulder.
Torrence let out a small scream as everyone crowded around her. One of the other boys - one of the ones who hadnt dropped her - pushed some of the others out of the way and gently picked Tor up, and began jogging toward the school and the nurse's office. Massie and Ana ran after him, helping with doors. "Don't worry Tori, you'll be fine!" Ana cooed while jogging besides Jake. Her world slowly turned black, and her body went numb. The only feeling she had was the pain radiated from her arm, and the warmth of being near Jake, Massie and Ana. Then her world went dark. First her hearing returned within seconds of regaining consciousness. She heard voices, both flustered and annoyed. She listened for a moment, until contently happy that they weren't talking about her. Then her feeling slow came back. At first it was a dull pain, but then it got stronger and stronger, until her arm burned. She felt like she wanted to scratch the pain away, make it go away. She moaned lightly, then heard the rushed footsteps coming toward her. "Torrence, are you alright?" What a stupid question. Was she alright? Of course she wasn't alright for heavens sake. She wanted to rip off her arm, or scream. At the moment she was afraid if she opened her mouth she would let out an ear-piercing howl, so all she did was nod her head before. She had broken bones in the past, but nothing like this - and from the smell, she was positive she wasn't in Misses Laverity's floral nurses room. Her eyes then opened, squinting slightly at the bright light placed over her head. She gazed around, at the walls, the equiment, and such. She was in Miss Laverity's office then eh? She must have really zoned then. All she could smell was the salty blood and the cleaner that the janitors used on a daily basis. Torrence coughed lightly, her blue eyes focusing in on the people in the room. Misses Laverity, and Coach Rollins - the nurse looked relieved while coach looked furious. She flinched slightly, knowing she would surely get yelled at when school was over. She then realized her arm was in a cast, pale beige with blue stripes. Interesting to say the least. It was in lines that made it easy to sign, conveniant too. Tori smiled slightly, her eyes darting to the clock while the two adults spoke. She wasn't really listening, and her mind only registered that it was near the end of the day, with only about ten minutes of class left. "Tori dear, how about you get your stuff out of your lockers and come here before you have to get on the bus, alright?" She nodded numbly, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. The nurse continued speaking, something about how she almost had a compound fracture, and how she was lucky her reflexes were so fast. The platinum blonde then bounded as quick as she could out of the office and to the gym. She was still in her sweatsuit, so her jeans, jacket and shirt were all in her gym locker still. Tor entered the locker room, stuffing everything out of her locker into her gym bag and then slinging it over her good shoulder. She slammed the door shut and then made her way to the next floor, where her school locker was. When she got there a note was attached to the front, saying the homework she had for hours one through five - signed Massie and Ana. A smile came to the girl's lips as she slid her locker open, putting the right books here and there and then closed it again once everything she needed was in her backpack. Then the bell rang. She groaned lightly, quickening her step so no one would see her until she was forced to get on the bus. Just as she got to the bottom floor the freshmans were filtering through to there lockers, but only the end of her hair was seen as she flew through the office doors. Torrence stepped through the doors, immediately stopped by the nurse. She quickly examined her there, adding a few pieces of that odd tape to her cast and then sent her off. The blonde girl walked slowly through the halls, knowing she wasn't going to be the first one there, or the last one either. As she entered the bus she saw all of her friends in her back, where they always sat - but instead of walking back there, she hesitated for a moment before falling into the seat. The bus driver gave her a weird look, and then scowled into the mirror as three of the cheerleaders rushed forward. Ana, Massie and Kaytee. Ana and Kayt were her closest friends, Massie running a close third - or was it second? Anyways, they all came up and didn't speak, letting her say everything - but after the silence they began talking about how the rest of their days went. After a while Tori giggled, and began to tell them what happened - that she had been asleep until about an hour ago.[/blockquote]

Sleeping was one of Chad's closest friends. A place where not only do you escape reality, but you also can make your own. He loved this, being able to drift of into a land of his own. Unfortunately, this never happened on the bus. Chad thought of the ride as reality saying "Hey, asshole!!" then punching you in the face. Or something like that. This day in particular was every annoying. People were frantic about how some cheerleader brake her arm off or something. This didn't bother Chad one bit, until he heard a name: Tori.
He immediately sat-up, and scanned the bus for her. No where. But when his eye darted to the front he saw her among a group of cheerleaders. 'Thank God,' he thought, relieved. She didn't look like she riped her arm off. 'Whatever...' Chad sighed, then went back to his lounging.

She smiled, holding her arm close to her. Her coat was normally on, except the side with the cast was draped over it, since she didn't want to go through the trouble of sliding it on and off of the cast - plus it would more than likely hurt, a lot. The bus ride was hard. With all the bumping and holey roads, she'd always get pitched one way or another and somehow end up hitting her arm against someone or something. Over twenty time she wanted to screech out, but knew it would only bring attention to herself. So once her cheer leading buddies were gone, already dropped off, she let out the occasional whimper - completely fine with that now that the others were gone.
As then bus came to a stop, at her stop she grabbed her backpack, once again bashing her arm against the window. t was so natural, to have her arm hit things, and yet it hurts like hell every time she did. She wasn't use to the pain of having a broken arm where it was broken. The nurse had realigned it, but it was in an odd place, because it snapped right near her elbow, making it hard to move at all. Tori winced, whimpering slightly as she continued and slung the backpack over her shoulder. She whispered a quiet 'bye' to the bus driver, when she was usually loud and happy.
As she came down on the pavement, her feet hitting hard she realized just how much pain she put her body through each day. Because of the broken arm, making everything she did more sensitive and painful, she realized that she put herself through unneeded pain, that she didn't even realize was happening. Wincing at the pain that ran through her body, seeming to radiate where it hurt the most. It was always like that with nerves. You move one part of your body and immediately the part that's been hurting begins to hurt again, it was almost as it you couldn't even breathe to get it to feel normal. She began walking toward home, very slowly in fact, not even saying goodbye to anyone. So unlike Tori!

Just as Chad began to dose off again, he felt a hard nudge on his shoulder followed by a "Dude, you better get off the bus soon. The driver's pulling away!!" Chad shot up, took his stuff and ran to the front as quickly as he could. After an anger glare from the bus driver, Chad hopped of the bus and put on his headphones. After switching to one of his favorite songs (How Far We've Come, Matchbox Twenty), he lazily gazed upward. He saw one thing and one thing only: Tori. She was a few yards ahead of him, and debated about whether or not he should run up to her or not. After a quick battle, running won, and he caught up to her in a few seconds.
When Chad caught up with Tori, he didn't know what to saw. "Hey, do want me to carry your backpack?" he said lamely, smiling and sticking out a hand. He hoped she didn't think he was teasing. He meant it in the nicest way possible. But why was he thinking about this? 'Who cares, as long as she doesn't tease me...' he thought shoving his thoughts away. "I heard what happened. I hope your arm is feeling better." Chad said, nearly slapping himself in the face when he realized how stupid he sounded.

She had been walking, keeping her arm close to her body. It was getting chillier again. It was like she was out for the warm part of the day, and only woke up when it was getting colder again. It was just her luck - which seemed to be horribly bad. 'My moms gonna kill me, I'm so glad she's out of town!' Was definitely one of the thoughts running through her head. Her mother was close to on the other side of the world by now, so it was impossible to reach her. Oh, what a shock it would be to come home and find your daughter in a cast - she shuddered somewhat at the idea, and then Chad ran up behind her.
Her blue eyes looked at him quizzically. Him, wanting to carry her backpack? Interesting, but she smiled anyway and slipped it down her good arm, dropping it on his forearm. "Thanks! It was really starting to get heavy," she said. Personally, she thought she shouldn't have any homework since she was technically nontechnical absent that day from being in the nurses for a good part of it. She walked along side him. "So, the big mighty Chad downgraded to carrying a cheerleaders backpack? Better not let your team mates hear about this, they might think you turned traitor!" She said, giggling slightly. It was just a harmless joke. Around the school - especially this time, her little nickname was ' Tori the Traitor ', because she dated someone from the rival school. Anyone seen talking to her was deemed traitor too, even though it was only joking with them, some people took it rather hardcore with Torrence. She had even found things in both of her lockers, gym and school - that were rude and well, lets just say not all that great.
She giggled gently again, holding her cast close. It got colder then the rest of her body, because of the cold air blowing into the small, thin opening between the plaster and her skin - it was really cold actually. The plaster froze in any cold weather, and it was pressing against her hurt arm, kinda like an overly cold instant icepack. It felt nice in some places, but in over it was a little too chilly. Tori smiled slightly at his 'get better soon' thing. "Oh, thanks, but it isn't really. I'll be out of cheer leading for a while - At least I won't need someone to write for me!" She said smiling. She had broken her writing arm, but Tori had practiced since a little girl writing with both of her arms because of cheer leading. It always seemed she broke her right arm, so she learned to write well with both hands - plus she liked the feeling of accomplishing something most people don't.

As Tori's backpack slid down his arm, he was relieved to have some added weight. It might sound weird, but he liked carrying a heavy backpack. Yeah, it meant he had a lot of homework, but it just felt creepy if it was light. This is why Chad Wellings hated Fridays. Being the day before a football game, teachers never gave out homework. If they did, there house gets burned down. Long story. Let's just say it involves beer, a lighter, some cloth. and more beer. Oh, the fun teens have.
"So, lead cheerleader missing big game. School paper's gonna have a hell of a time with this." he said with a laugh. "You're still coming to the game, right?" said Chad with a concerned look. "I hope you are...." Chad mumbled to himself. He still didn't get it. Why did he have to like the one girl he would never have? He looked up and saw that they were nearing their houses. At least they were neighbors. Ever since Chad had moved in, he had a thing for the cheerleader. Technically, if they were going out, he could talk to her via their windows (which strait across from each other). Chad blinked, and his fantasies went away.

Tori walked side-by-side with Chad, her eyes never leaving the road in front of her. She could see their houses close by, meaning that their 'walk' was almost over. They lived literally right next to each other, in a creepy way actually. She could open her window and look into his room, mostly the reason why she tried to keep her curtain shut at all times. Though most of the time her just lovable little brother would open it at wrong times. Like when she had a guy over, her cheerleading friends, or when, well, just bad times. She then watched as Adam came to the window, opening his blue curtains slightly and waving at her. He always got home before her, since Layla homeschooled him mostly. He spent only a couple hours at school for socializing, as their mother put it. She would do the same thing with Tori, that is, if Torrence didn't practically run the household. She smiled at him, and he quickly scampered out of the window, probably back to his studies with Layla. For the few hours he was at school, so was she, then she would come back and school him. So it all worked out so perfectly.
Tori shrugged lightly. She wouldn't be able to cheer for the game, that was true. But well, she had to go right? She was the captain, co-captain, of the squad and needed the be there for everything. And also, she needed to be there for school spirit, not only for her school but also the rival school. It was always odd for her at those games, because she had to root for her home team, but she also wanted the other team to win - since of course it was the team her boyfriend played on. Yes, quite conflicting in fact. Well, at least she didn't have to cheer in this game, meaning she could willing root for whichever team she felt like. Well, of course she would probably root forboth teams, almost equally. Well, maybe she would cheer for the opponent's team more. She might as well give all of the haters something to hate her for. "Yeah, I guess I'll be going to the game, won't be able to cheer though. And it's co-captian, not lead," she said, smiling slightly. Everybody always got that wrong. They would always forget about the other captain, and she would get so mad she'd start screaming. Tori sighed, the problems with being partners with a tempermental cheerleader.
They walked a little bit longer. Of course though, as soon as she could make out the numbers on her front door she sped up. She had already missed Addy, and no doubt the school had called home, Lay had answered it, and Adam had been on the other line - meaning that he had heard about her broken arm. Addy wasn't good with bad news, and he was worried easily. Yes, he was 'special', but not mentally retarded or anything. He just got hurt very easily, and was afraid of practically - almost - everything he didn't know about. So well, she wanted to make sure he was okay, and show him that she was okay. They got to her house sooner then expected, and she turned to him. "Well, we're home now, could I have my bag back now?" she asked, looking at him holding her backpack. It wasn't overly heavy, but it did have a few things for homework. She probably wouldn't know a single thing, but she would survive at least. Tori smiled gently, her body still aching badly from falling.

Chad chuckled as he thought of the funny times that happened because of the windows. Especially one time. Last year, Chad was casually when looking out the window, when Tori's younger brother ripped down the curtains. He glanced over and saw Tori in only a towel. Tori's tried to grab her brother without dropping her towel and failed miserably. Down came the towel, and down came Chad's jaw. Tori must have glanced out the window, because she immediately reached for the towel and brought it back around herself. Chad, of course, was on the floor laughing at this point. He thought it was as funny as hell.
Chad gently slid the backpack back onto Tori's arm. He felt sorry for her, having to miss the game. As there's arms touched, Chad knew that this was how it should be. Just Tori and Chad. Their eyes locked and for a few seconds, and Chad was rooted in place. He was tempted just to kiss her right then and there. But he didn't. He simply turned around, muttered a lousy "See ya," , and began to walk away.
