Chiso--
He looked out over the tops of the mountain. The wind blew steadily, and a force that might make a human fall down, but Chiso had the bottom half of a horse, which made him more stable in the heavy wind. The snow was bitting at his skin through the thin layer of fur on his legs. Now he barly noticed it. He had lived in these mountians for so long that freezing tempritures where just normal to him.
Many years ago his own friends had expossed his secret, his wings. now his set of large wings were cloaked around him keeping him warm enough in the frigid tempritures. He hated them still. If it wasn't for being half paggisus, he wouldn't have to worry about staying warm, and finding food. He would be a warrior defending his village. Now he realy got company, save for a few explorers who decided to brave the mountain. It was winter, so very few were dumb enough to try and cross it, still he kept an extra wary eye out for anyone. His least favorite job was burrying the boddies of dead travilers.
He was about to turn to go back to his cave, when he spotted a movement. 'what was that...' with his keen eyes he tract its location and saw something. It was too far away to be able to tell exactly what though. it was definetly not a normal mountian resident though. He lept into the air and glided quickly down toward them. "What are you doing in the mountains in the winter! Don't you know how dangerous it is?" he called over th roaring wind.

*~And here they start...//
Giving a tattered grunt, Ryn powered forward, nails clawing upon the snowy mountain side. Her eyes as clouded as ever, yet they did not blink. Wide open they stayed- a side effect from being blind long long ago from an incident years ago. But that was long past her. Now with a pelt as white as snow that was lightly spotted with gray shapes, all she could think about was getting over the mountain. At the moment, she was in the form of the mighty snow leopard- yes, form. Ryn wasn’t just a snow leopard that happened to carry a bundled up little brother upon her back. She was a shifter and she could shift into any animal she had touched or seen before and that made her unique.
But upon her back was not a shifter. Not a shifter indeed. It was a young boy about the age of 7, 9 years younger than his sister who Ryn certainly was. His name however was Riko. A name he proudly held upon his chest like a medal. He wasn’t a shifter at all for he took on his mother’s side of the family. He was an ordinary human. Ryn took on their father’s powers and that would certainly be shifting. But Riko was a strong willed-boy who would never back down from a challenge.
This challenge however seemed to be to much for the two. Yet, Ryn stayed diligent. Her head moving from side so she could catch any sound that came into her nearly- snow filled ears. Her paws suddenly stopped, head lowering; teeth baring as a sound of a human voice came to her sensitive ears.
"What are you doing in the mountains in the winter! Don't you know how dangerous it is?"
The wind was definitely a hindrance yet the words were clear in her head for she had impeccable hearing due to the lost of her sight. Riko however looked up at the stranger and opened his mouth ready to speak yet he was suddenly slid down into the snow from his sister’s back. Ryn stepped forward growling in annoyance before using that familiar telepathic voice used by most shifters to speak to others while in animal form. They use it rarely due to the massive amount of energy wasted because of it.
”Who are you and what do you want?” The voice was clear and definitely feminine yet straight forward and firm.

Chiso--
He landed gentaly infront of the snowleaperd. He could tell by the lack of a pupil in its eyes, it had been blind for a while. He walked up carefuly not to seem threatening. "My name is Chiso, you can say this is my mountain, since im the only fool crazy enough to try living here." he explained. "Not that i was given much choise," he murrmered under his breath after. He kept his wings folded against his side. He was being cautios for more then just the fact that they were strangers, but also because they were in one of the more wodded terrain. This would be a major handicap for him, since he couldn't use his wings to get away if there was trouble. He also knew that since they had been taking such a hard path, they might not have been able to survive the night, and it would do no one any good if everyone died.
"I live in a cave not far from here, if you come there is a fire inside, its much warmer. You can rest until teh storm les out and then I will help guid you through the mountain to the other side." Offered Chiso. "I often help travlers through the mountain. Not mainy come at such a hazardous time what brings you?"

*~Wound up in a mixed up world…//
Ryn raised an eyebrow ready to speak in turn to the offer yet she was suddenly interrupted by a loud screech. This screech fired off from Riko who had flung himself forward against Chiso, clinging onto one of his four legs. ”Get away from my sister you fowl beast!!” He yelled, clutching onto Chiso even tighter, nails sinking in deeper- yet those nails were not long or sharp at all.
Ryn rolled her eyes giving a shake of her head before grabbing the fallen blanket, now covered in snow and placed it upon her tail before grasping the back of Riko’s shirt and pulling him away with a firm tug. ”I’m sorry about that.” She explained, raising her blind eyes toward the centaur, ears turning toward him. ”My brother is a bit... feisty.” Riko struggled, hanging half a foot off the ground by the jaws of his sister. ”Let me go, Ryn!! I can take him!” Squirmed the boy, but after much fuss he finally stopped due to exhaustion and the cold chill that was making him shiver.
Ryn gave off a gently laugh before laying him down into the snow. ”See, this is why you need to wait for us to get to a safe place before you go off attacking random creatures, Riko.” She grunted, using that familiar mental voice in his head as she wrapped him in the blanket and pulling him onto her back once more. ”My brother and I are here on a mission. We just want a place to stay warm for the night before we’re off. Thankyou for the offer. One night will be enough.” Came Ryn’s voice, still as cautious as ever, yet that loving tone she had used to talk to Riko was gone.

Chiso--
Chiso nodded. "Then follow me, its not too far off." and he began to lead the way through the forest. The sound of the wind was queter, not able to pass so many trees. still the swaying of the large pines made him a bit nurvous. This was apowerful storm. He wouldn't be surprised if the forest was to lose a tree or two by the end of it. All he could hope for is that they didn't decided to fall down while they waked. Luck was on their side though. His nurves had been meaningless, the trees had only swayed tuaghntingly. it only took about five minets before they entered into a sudden field. It was perfictly roung, about a quarter mile in each direction, and surrounded by fifty foot trees all around. there was not a single tree in the field but toward the center was on oddly standing stone.
The group walked across the barren snow frosted ground. the wind howled louder, but the basin shap of the field weakened the wind conciderably. They soon approached the odd stone. It was about 20 feet tall. There was an entrance like like an upside down lightning bolt. Chiso stuck his hand in and pulled out a stick and swung his pack around pulling out two stones. he struck them together allowng the spark to hit the wood setting it on fire. He gestered for them to follwo and he walked into the stone. Inside he light more flares with the first one. It went farther down into a tunnel. a fire pit in the middle warmed the room. The flares all around kept the room light. the room look imposible big, but it was about five feet under the ground, it was imposible to tell inside this cozy place, with a woven rug, and handmade wooden chairs and tables made for guests, that out side was a bitter winter storm. "Welcome to my home." he said gestering to the rounded room, with the dark tunnel in the back.

*~A home of great wonder and surprise I see…//
Ryn followed with caution floating in those blind eyes. Her ears kept perked while she clawed onward, tail lashing. She had to keep diligent just incase this centaur had other thoughts. She still didn’t trust him, yet his further actions had already set a good outlook upon him. But right now, all she wanted to do was get into that warm cave he was talking about. It was definitely cold; her muscles ached and this already thick fur still wasn’t enough to keep all of the cold out. Ryn was starting to feel the frost nip at her, especially upon her nose that she tried to keep warm by constantly giving off a breath of warm air.
Luckily, they were there in a snap. Ryn didn’t exactly know it was there until the side of her tail swept against the rock and Chiso had lit the fire. That signaled that they were finally safe, along with the weakening wind due to the shape of the terrain around them. She nodded quietly as she followed once again, Riko whispering quiet directions. ”Yes. I know, Riko. I can hear his footsteps.” She grunted once again giving off a faint pfft kind of noise as she twitched her whiskers.
”Welcome to my home.”
Ryn stopped and took in a deep intake of air. The scent was strange but it was warn and homely. This made her relax her tense muscles. The wind was finally gone and the cold was slowly beginning to strip away from her tattered bones. ”Wow.” She murmured simply as she walked along the side walls just to get used to the place.
Riko leaped down from Ryn’s back, blanket in hand for he had pulled it off due to the sudden warmth. ”Woah!! It’s so warm in here!!” He looked around, eyes wide as he continued to explore.
Ryn giggled gently before curling up into a tight ball near the center of the area. Her head lifted into the air, ears swiveling over to Chiso. ”By the way, My name is Ryn and that is Riko, my brother.” She turned her head slightly while her ears faced firmly toward the centaur. ”How did you find this place in these mountains? Its so warm and safe from the rough winds.” She purred, curling her tail around her shivering body.

Chiso--
He sat on the oppoiste side of the fire and stocked it for a stray stick. "Its abit of a long story." He explained. "It was many years ago that i was chased out of my own Village. it took me about a year of bearly surviving when I stubbled across this place." He justered to the room. "When I first saw it, it never occured to me i found a home, i thought i would never find a home again. But then I realized how much warmer and safe it was, so sheltered from the storms outside. This place is so perfictly protected, large, and naturaly warm in the mist of all this cold, i have began to wonder if it was home to dwarves many years ago. The tunels go down very far and i have seen some tracks which seem to suport it. Ihaven't seen so much as an ounce of gold though." He admitted. "It would explain why they left, many of my guests have gone down in the tunnels looking for it none of them have foundeven a hint that any is left ethire, even a few dwarves."
He stocked the fire again, "If you want I can give you a tour of the tunnels, by now I know them better then I know the mountains. I have renivated some of the rooms aswell for guests of the mountain to sleep in, theres more then enough place for both of you too sleep confertably."

*~A mistake I have forgotten.//
Ryn nodded her head quickly grasping Riko’s shirt and pulling him down beside her again- seeing that he was already scrambling in and out of the tunnels like crazy and that was never very good to show to a hospitable guest. She flicked her tail and held him down with one claw. ”Wonderful.” She purred before slowly getting up. Her blind eyes facing forward as always as she turned her head to take in all the sounds and movements. According to all the noise that Riko had made, she could see that there were many tunnels and that this large cavern was roomy and the walls definitely rough. What a perfect place to live. So homely and such. Ryn couldn’t help but continue on her satisfied purr.
”I guess it would be ok to finally shift back to human form.” Ryn said simply before her slow transformation started. First came the fur. The white and gray hairs slowly retracted back to reveal the light tan-pink color of her skin; the top of her head growing that familiar long tuft of lengthy black hair that pulled down over her shoulder to reach about her mid-waist- lucky for her too. Her figure slowly elongated, arms, legs and all. And soon, a young woman stood in the snow-leopard’s place. A –naked- young woman in it’s place.
Of course, Ryn would have never known. She was blind and never took notice to much of what people thought about her for she could not see their reaction, nor did she know what her real body looked like. She can feel around to get a simple blueprint of her body but nothing more. Ryn however was beautiful to say the least. She held a lean, feminine figure for she always had a reason to go out and run around. Her skin was a light tan due to the same reason. Yet her eyes were almost like the color of her hair, dark brown- an almost black yet clouded due to her blindness. Little did she even know she was standing bare naked in front of everyone- her brother of course giving a hesitant stutter. ”Uh…Ryn…?” His eyes held firm upon her for he didn’t actually know what to do. Never did they come across this.
”What is it?” Ryn asked, confused. Her long hair draped down her chest- lucky for her, yes.

Chiso--
Chiso's jaw droped open and for a second he was frozen by shere surprise. Once he finaly ragained an ounce of controll over his body he looked away diverting his eyes from his naked guest. "I'll go fetch you some cloths," he said stummering over some of the words due to embarecement. His face was flushed red. He turned toward the tunnel making sure not to look towards Ryn. He didn't wait for a responce, he just galopped out of there and went to a room were he had kept extra cloths for guests. It wasn't uncomon for the cloths of a visitor to be wet from the snow, but hes never meet one that simply didn't HAVE cloths at all.
He picked out a shirt and some comfertable looking pants he thought look like they would fit her as well as some undware. He walked back to the livign room and held out some clothsfor her. "Here you can wear these."

*~Surprise Surprise.//
Ryn held a puzzled look upon her face for confusion on why Chiso said nothing was storming through her head. But as he mentioned clothes, her blind eyes widened at what she had just realized. ”Riko! You didn’t even warn me!” She whispered angrily at him quickly grasping his blanket and trying her best to wrap herself within it, yet it was quite small no matter how much she stretched it. Ryn’s cheeks flushed a deep red just like Chiso, quickly pushing her brother in front of her as Chiso returned with what seemed to be some fresh clothes. Quickly snatching it from him, she scrambled into a darkened corner and immediately pulled the clothes on.
It wasn’t like Ryn to be like this seeing that she never changed in front of anyone and rarely did she change human out in public. She should have known better. Much better. Giving out a tattered sigh she slowly walked back over to the two. The clothes were a bit loose yet it fit quite nicely. Best of all, the clothes were warm and it felt nice against her sensitive skin. ”Uh… Thanks, Chiso.” She blushed a shade darker, biting her bottom lip out of embarrassment. Adding to that, Riko was also giggling in the background. She shook her head before holding out her hands and feeling along the ground only for a moment before sitting back down beside her brother.
”Hey, Chiso, Why did they chase you out of your village anyways? Are you evil? Did you steal? Did you kill someone???” Riko fired out, giving a wide grin. Ryn placed her hand upon his head and pressed down a bit as if telling him to calm down- as if he could.

Chiso--
Chiso sighed. "Its a bit of a complex story," he began. "Granted i have been asked it quiet a few times. No i never killed or brought any one any form of harm. you see..." He unfolded his large wings and spread them out completly. The room gave him more then enough room for him to spread them their full legnth. "I'm not a normal centaur, my father was a pagisus by the name of Kayoki, my mother was a centaur named Oda." He let his wings rest against his side again. "In my village, it was not a ver respectable thing to be half one and half another. For many years I was able to hide my secret." He closed his eyes. In his mind he rembered walking through the lonly streets with a blanket on his back hidding his wings and pretending his had a back problem. Then He saw his friends playing with sowrds, the Blades slipping from one of his friends hands as he atempted to stop them. The sound of ripping, followed by the sound of gasps as his wings unravled when the blanked had been. The pain of being dragged away by his wings, and his hands being tied tightly back. The shocked faces of his friends as they watched him blankly, not sure what to do. Beign in the elders meeting spote. The punishment, cutting his wings off. Then the fear, rushing out and grabbing the first soward he saw for deffence. The endless running up the flight. The coldness untill he found this place. "But there was this acident... they foudn out, and I ran away." He said finaly quietly. "If I go back i will be killed, jsut for these things!" he roared and flared his wings back up. he glared at them with absolute anger. Then finaly let them relax to his side again.

*~A world of terror and blood.//
Ryn let out a sigh, knowing slightly how he felt. She always felt shunned away from the world seeing that everyone else teased her with that familiar: ”Look over there! Look over here! Omg!! Its so pretty!” But Ryn would never know. She would never know what to look like, she would never know who and what was pretty and she would never be able to see anything else in her life. Her head, lowered slightly as the story had come to an and, yet, she straightened up a bit as she noticed that her brother was pressing ever so closer to her side in fear of Chiso’s tone of anger. ”Its ok, Riko. Don’t be afraid.”
Ryn pulled him closer in a warm embrace before inclining her head toward Chiso. ”Your village should be ashamed.” Ryn muttered with an angry grunt. ”They should be proud of your half culture for sure!” She narrowed her blind eyes slightly. She backed this notion up definitely for her mother was human while her father was a shifter and they made Riko and herself.
Pulling Riko closer she shook her head quietly. ”We too are half-bloods. My father is a shifter like myself and my mother is human. Together they made us.” She gave a soft smile then slowly got up and layed her hand upon the base of one of his wings. ”we’re proud and you should be proud too. These wings are gifts and you and only you can use them.” Ryn lifted her blind gaze back up at him, giving another compassionate smile. But that smile disappeared as she turned away. Her blindness was not a gift at all. It was a curse out of fate that troubled her in every way possible.

Chiso--
Chiso smilled. He was back to his normal kind self again. "Thank you Ryn. Sometimes I forget the fact that it is not a bad thing, thank you for reminding me. Your eyes may be blind, but clearly your heart sees better then anyone esle's I have ever meet." He reached out so hi shand touched Ryns shoulder. For a second he just stood there, then he let his hand drop back. "So what brought you to my mountain sin the first place, it most be very important to you too be risking-" he was then cut off by the sound of a scretching. A flacon dove in, Chiso put his arm out and the Flacon landed on it. "What new do you bring Nyep?" He said. Nyep opened his beak and out fell a piece of cloth. "Looks like you weren't alone out there," He sighed. "I'll be right back," He said as he headed for the door. Nyep dashed infront of him.

Ryn turned her head back at Chiso with a grateful look and a simple smile. He really did make her feel a bit better even though she couldn’t see his expression. She opened her mouth ready to explain why they were here, yet she was cut off when Riko rushed back over to her in fear from the hawk that seemed to be called Nyep. And in a rush, Chiso exited following the same hawk. Hmm? She shook her head and quickly followed after him with Riko trailing behind her. ”Do you think this is a good idea, Ryn? I mean, Chiso is big and strong. I think whatever he has to do he can deal with.” He commented in a worried tone.
Ryn shook her head, not even bothering to turn her head toward him for she was too busy trying to seek out his footsteps. More than once, did she have a close call with these tight walls, nearly skimming them with her shoulder or the side of her cheek in her rush. ”No. we should go and help him.” Ryn replied quickly pulling Riko onto her back and sped forward. ”Wait! Chiso, Wait!” She called out. ”Let us help too!” She reached out her hand, skimming the side walls, trying to find Chiso once again. Ugh, where are you?

Chiso--
The wind blew in circles nipping at Chiso. Nyep kept a steady stema of screeches allowing Chiso to follwo him in the ice storm. Suddenly a noise that wasn't Nyeps screeching brock threw.
"Wait! Chiso, Wait! Let us help too!”
It was Ryn. Chiso stopped in his tracks, the voice was faint, maybe about 30 meters away in the storm. Nyep circles about 20 feet above him screeching once. "Lets go find our guests first," Chiso called up to Nyep. The Falcon gave a screech as if in agreement and then speed off toward the direction they were in, his keen eyes already spotting them. Though Chiso could already tell more less where they were, he followed the keener directions of Nyep.
It didn't take them long to get to them. Chiso stopped infornt of them and Nyep landed on his shoulder. "You can come if you wish, some more travlers are stuck, I could use some extra help though. They have about as much sence as a fly it seems, by wait Nyep says."
Nyep lept off of his shoulder and circled twice before screechign off and heading streight, wings beating hard in the storm. "It appears Nyeps spotted them," He bent down "Get on, i can carry the both of you easily and we'll get there faster, Nyep isn't a very patient bird."

Ryn nodded, breathing quite heavily from having to carry Riko without the help of her animal shifting. ”Of course.” She gave a soft smile before quickly placing Riko upon Chiso’s back and boarding herself. Wincing slightly from the buffeting snowy wind she pulled her arms over her brother to make sure he was safe. ”Ok, lets go.” She said firmly. ”Are you ok, Riko?” Ryn asked, eyes place straight forward as if she was looking out ahead into the storm.
”I’m fine, Ryn. Just excited!” Riko piped up, squirming where he sat. He definitely enjoyed adventure, seeing that he was nearly used to all this clear-cut action of having to steal to survive, get away from terrible people to live and dealing with the lost of others. Yep. He had it all and he experienced it all with his sister who never gave up hope. The two were definitely set upon their journey. A journey to the gems that held their one and only ideal future within their clear surface.
”I wonder what these fool-headed travelers are doing here.” Ryn grunted. Yes, she did call them fool-headed when they too were climbing upon these mountains only a few minutes ago but they had a purpose. They had to get over this mountain and they were definitely prepared.

Chiso--
"We can't say for certain untill we find them," said Chiso. He kept his wings upward slightly inorder to keep them warm, and protect them from the winds. For about fifteen minutes they ran like this in the freezing snowbit wind. In most cases It was insulting for anyone to ask a centaur for a ride, and even less heard of for one to offer one. Strangle despite their lack of time together he was not at all offended by the fact that he was beign ridden. They had barely spent any time together at all, he barely bonded with the visitors up the moutain, yet there was already what seemed to be a friendship starting. Suddenly Nyep gave a loud victorious screech, and dove streight down, taking Chiso away from his thoughts. "Looks like we found them!" he called back running the few extra yards toward the place where Nyep dive bombed. Nyep sat on a pile of snow the bulged akwardly. "Are they still alive?" Asked Chiso.
Nyep roled his head, which gave the same sarcastic feeling as rolling eyes. Then He pecked at the snow with his sharp beak.
"Ow!" came a sound from bellow. And as the snow around him began to fall, it reveled a goblin.

Ryn was definitely thankful for what Chiso was doing. If he hadn’t offered them a ride, she would have to trudge though this snow and wind with Riko upon her own back, wrapped in a tight blanket just like the long hike all the way up here. She would have to pick another clever animal to use and she would have to consider what happens to her clothes once again. Boy, she definitely was content. In between Chiso’s large wings, the wind wasn’t as strong and it was much warmer then out in the snow. Enjoying the ride, Riko took this to his advantage and looked out between the gap of his wings at the large blizzard- as if it was a blizzard. This was probably the usual weather up in this mountain- cold and chilly with the slight chance of raging winds. Yep. Riko happily watched the wind twist and turn in the air and Ryn couldn’t help but giggle at him.
But as they halted at the sound of flapping wings, Ryn leaped down from Chiso’s back, fumbling slightly from the sudden gust of cold air, yet she held steady and took a step forward to try to decipher what actually stood in front of her in the snow at her feet. ”Chiso? What is that?” She asked. It was an awkward question. Something a girl wouldn’t really ask- in most cases. Yet whatever it was, she wanted to know why it was here and how it got here.

Gimbo_
Gimbo flaied uselessly in the snow cursing, luckily though the snow muffled him making it uninteligable. A sudden sharp pain pulsed through is bottom suddenly. he screamed loudly before the snow fell back. He sat on his bottom and began to rub his back which had just been pecked by a flacon. "WHY YOU LITTL-!" he began but stopped short when he noticed it land on a figures shoulders above him, who seemed to be a human witha horses body and a pare of wings. Goblins are ery small creatures by nature, and even being tall for his sciese, at 3' 6" Gimbo was much smaller then this reature. He imediatly retreated behind a rock.
”Chiso? What is that?”
He heard a voice comeing from near the other figure. "What are you bli-!" Again he was cut off by the creature as it took a single step towards it. Gimbo covered his face with his hands, which was useless, Chiso simply grabbed him around the neck. Chiso-
"AS a matter a fact she is." Hissed Chiso quietly in his ear. "Do you have a problem with that? you could learn some manners..." The he turned to face Ryn. "Its just two gobblins, we should probably take them back to the shelter." Nyep leapt into the air and gave a screech of protest, but Chiso gave him a look. "Nyep, you could learn some manners yourslef, their guests to this mountain." It was true there was somethign fishy about these two goblins, but he had meet some rather unpleasent people who were crossing the mountain, they tended to leave the quckest anyway. He figured these two would spend the night get a free meal and get out like the others.

From beneath the snow another little goblin head popped from the white. He was a bit thinner than the first goblin yet they looked similar in many ways. He who’s name was Danke*, held a scowling look to him as he glanced at the creatures that seemed to surround him and his partner. ”Who are these idiots?” He grumbled under his breath upon Gimbo’s ear. His was taller as well compared to his companion yet still not as tall as Chis, yet as he looked on to the others, he found that something was quite wrong with each of them. For one thing, this centaur that looked down upon him now had wings upon his back. The girl behind him had a strange look upon her face that focused more upon her eyes and the boy, he just looked plain determined to look courageous and brave- a habit that most young boys took upon. Ahh, these people are crazy! However, he decided to stay quiet, in fear that he would fall under the wrath of the mighty winged centaur freak.
Ryn’s ears twitched slightly as his words easily echoed into her sensitive ears. Idiots? She gave out a sudden growl as her body shifted as her mind worked to pick out the different animals parts required to build up the complete creature she was calling upon at this moment. And thus, a large orange and black tiger stood in her place; muscles bunching, she leaped forward tackling the second little creature to the ground, growling and hissing in annoyance. ”Shut up you filthy little creature!!” She thought furiously, her energy definitely waving forward as her annoyance fired through her anger.
However, Ryn was lucky enough to have landed correctly upon the goblin- paw on his chest, easily sizing him up in this big cat form. Yet, she had nearly missed him for the other four of her legs were completely off from the little creature, yet it was still enough force to do her job.
Danke looked up at her in surprise, gasping as he tried to breathe from under the weight of her paw. He shook her head whimpering as he pushed and squirmed. ”Ok! Ok! Mercy! Mercy!” He rasped before Ryn finally realized what she was doing.
